Autumn Fun

Crew Godley had a wonderful time yesterday on their scavenger hunt collecting autumn treasures! We had a very colourful day!

Magical Maths

KS1 have been working hard, to get smart in maths. We been exploring place value and how numbers in the number system get bigger and smaller.

KS1 Presentation of Learning

On Thursday, we would love to present the learning from our Autumn, Spring and Summer expeditions. As children leave the family picnic, there will be a stand at the front of the school showcasing the finished products from the expeditions.

We would love for parents and guardians to join us, view and discuss the beautiful finished products. Children will also be able to purchase a copy of the new children’s perspective for £1.

We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow

Sharing our successes in Crew Godley

We have been absolutely blown away by the progress some of our children have made in Crew this year. April came into our crew with little confidence and sometimes was reluctant to share her thoughts and ideas in a larger group.

April brought a book from home this week and wanted to share this with her crew. We were so, so proud of April because her sheer determination to work hard and get smart has paid off! She read her book beautifully and received lots of wonderful praises from her peers. We can’t wait for our next story time 📚

Crew Godley wanted to share their learning…..

During transition week when the current Crew Godley came back to crew on Friday we shared our thoughts and feelings around next year. We also shared how we can prepare ourselves over the Summer to ensure we felt ready to show our HoWLs in a new Crew. Tiarna had a wonderful idea that it would be kind to share what our crew do now to help the transition for the new Y1’s and Y2’s to feel at ease. Here is the finished product they created ☺️

Y2 fun at the Circus

Y2 were so lucky to have a visit from Greentop Circus 🎪🤹🏻‍♀️🎭🎟

We had great fun watching Chris perform his circus show then he taught us how to use a spinning top, walk a tight rope and laugh like a clown! we had a great morning!

Family Picnic Thursday 21st July, 1pm

Don’t forget our end of Year Family Picnic on Thursday 21st July at 1pm.

GATES WILL OPEN AT 12.45PM TO ENSURE THERE ISN’T A SURGE OF PEOPLE QUEUING AT 1PM. CLASSROOM DOORS WILL SHUT AND GATES WILL BE LOCKED AT 1.15PM TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF OUR CHILDREN. CHILDREN WILL BE SIGNED OUT OF CLASS OVER TO THEIR RESPONSIBLE ADULT BEFORE THEY ATTEND THE PICNIC.

Challenging ourselves in Crew Godley

We have had a lovely couple of mornings in Crew Godley, we’ve collaborated, challenged ourselves and reflected on our learning. We have worked with our parents to create boats which would not sink when filled and structures to hold an orange off the table for 30 seconds! I’d like to praise the resilience of the children and parents when it became a little tricky!
