At Carcroft and across XP Trust, we refer to our expectations for learning as ‘Habits of Work and Learning’ or for short ‘Our HoWLs’. We refer to our HoWLs throughout the day but spend quality time reflecting upon these at the end of the school day before we go home. We give ourselves a score between 1-4 using this rubric to help us to decide.
We understand that in order to achieve well academically, we have to ‘work hard’ in order to ‘get smart’ and we should ‘be kind’ because it’s good to be a kind human being.
