During arithmetic, we applied our knowledge to an arithmetic kahoot quiz. It sure did get tense! Great effort by all!
In challenge crew we got our bodies and minds active and had some great fun! There were some lovely encouragement and a high sense of ‘crew’ throughout!
Before writing plot point 3, it was vital that we spent some time chotting out ideas. As a crew we understand the importance of collating our ideas so that we can magpie, if we get stuck. Some great ideas today and it was even lovely to see children getting themselves a thesaurus when they wanted to up-level their vocabulary.
This morning we played one of our favourite games: Round table.
Each pair has 1 whiteboard and pen between them. They are et a challenge and given 2 minutes to complete it. Sounds easy… think again. During the task the children aren’t allowed to talk to each other and in addition, they need to be using their skimming and scanning skills not only in the text but to ensure they aren’t duplicating answers.
The task today was to use 2 pages of the text to find as many verbs as they could. We have been using these games to consolidate our learning and ensure we are confident with word classes.
Crew Godley and a few other children from Crew March and Crew Robson wanted to do bug hunting to see if any bugs came out in the lovely weather we have this week. Here is a few pictures of what they have found
Well done to these super readers 🙂
Our year 6 songs are really coming together 🙂 We are feeling super proud 🙂
