At 11am, KS1 stopped to pay their respects. We have been looking at the significance of poppies during crew time this week.
We were really proud of the children.
The children have been very empathetic this morning and have shown true kindness in regards to Remembrance Day. They have created lots of poppy crafts and have had beautiful discussions about feelings and how we can all support each other.
Well done FS2.
Our KS1 are already working hard on their 100 laps
Well the day is nearly here😁. We are really looking forward to completing our very special walkathon tomorrow. We have designed a very special sensory circuit to complete as we work on our laps.
We have even asked Mr Hull to prepare the stocks, with the chance to soak Mr Tucker (and others) at some point of the day!
At 11am, we will all be stopping for 2 minutes to pay our respects as part of remembrance day.
The children are invited to either wear their PE kit or their superhero costumes.
There might also be a very special visit from some real life heroes tomorrow 🚒🤞
Please could we ask children to hand their sponsor money into their teacher.
We were so excited about Bonfire Night! Watch to see all the ways we got ready!
The children in FS2 today have been discussing their expedition theme and exploring celebrations a little more. We have tried popcorn and discussed if we should serve this at our own celebration party later in the term. Everyone had a taste by measuring out amounts using cups and beakers. The children were very careful to ensure everyone had an equal share.
The popcorn was delicious!
Crew nursery have really impressed their teachers with their creativity this week! They have enjoyed talking about the beautiful fireworks that they saw during bonfire night celebrations and they have created fantastic firework art using a lot of different media!
