Active Fusion Festival of Sport trip tomorrow

The Active Fusion Festival of Sport trip is tomorrow (Friday 13th March), this trip is held at Sheffield Institute of Sport. We will leave school at 9am and arrive back at no later than 3:30pm. We leave Sheffield at 2:30pm so I am hoping we have given plenty of time for traffic.

Children need to come to school at normal time wearing their PE kit (red top and dark bottoms, with trainers on). Children in KS2 who are not FSM will need to bring a pack lunch with them.

Thank you, any questions please ask the office or Miss Marsh 🙂

Which materials are magnetic? 🧲

Yesterday afternoon, we explored a range of materials to investigate which were magnetic or non magnetic. We sorted our materials into 2 groups. We also discovered that that attraction was stronger with some items. To help us understand why some metal materials are magnetic we watched a video that explained for an item to be magnetic, it just contain cobalt, iron or nickel.

Final Product Baking

Crew MW have spent the morning baking our gingerbread men to sell on Friday! We will be raising money to buy some new story books for the children in EYFS, for the school library and to give out in the local community. We measured, poured, sifted, stirred and rolled to create our gingerbread men, talking about what we could see and what we could smell. We worked really well in our small groups to complete our baking and we had lots of fun!

Challenge Crew ⭕️

Today in challenge Crew we had to pass the hoop along the line without letting go of ours peers hands, this was so tricky as to make it even more challenging we had to do it within one minute. This was easy! So we challenge ourselves to do it within 30 seconds! We got so quick that in the end it only took us 12 seconds! Great crew work, Crew Godley!
