Myself and Mrs Ibbotson would just like to say a massive well done to all the children in Crew MI today that have delivered their final word presentations to parents, teachers and friends. We were blown away by the work that has been put into each and everyone’s presentation. You all showcased yourselves in such a positive way, reflecting on yourself as a learner, highlighting your strengths but also areas for development. We are so proud of the journey you have been on this year and can’t believe that you are all soon off to secondary school! There were many tears today, but tears of pure joy celebrating how wonderful you all are. We look forward to the next round of presentations tomorrow. Continue to be wonderful MI 🙂

Crew Marsh and Danny Evans 🏀
We loved joining in with Danny Evans today, he worked us really hard and we loved hearing about how he became a basket baller.

Thank you!
A massive thank you to all of the children who helped to raise money for the event today. 💕

Sports for champions: Danny Evans!
We have loved our morning with Danny Evans, learning all about his basketball career and enjoying a fitness circuit with him. 🏀

The rain didn’t stop us 🌧

The weather wasn’t on our side during dinner time break today, but did it stop us? No!
Shelby wheeled the boom box up onto the field and Crew Robson followed by doing the conga and then we all danced in the rain ☔️
Excellent Expeditionary Expert Experience! 🧍🏠🌊🌏
Today, Mrs Adams delivered an excellent presentation to all of our LKS2 pupils about her experience of flooding in 2007 when she lived in Bentley. Prior to today’s session we have been learning about flooding in our Expedition lessons as well as The Write Stuff lessons where we are writing a narrative based on the picture book, ‘FLOOD’. Before Mrs Adams shared her story with us, each crew generated a list of questions that we would like to ask to know more, such as: Did you have to leave your home? What impact did it have on your life? How did it affect the area where you lived? Did you lose anything in the flood? etc. We were all blown away with the thoughtful questions that pupils shared. Mrs Adams did a great job of answering all of our questions as well as providing us with lots of extra details and facts. Thank you so much for your time Mrs Adams! 💕 The children got lots from it and it is sure going to help with our Expedition and writing learning next week!

Magic Measures 📏🔢
Crew Godley have been working hard to get smart in maths, looking at measures this week. We’ve measured everything from a paper clip to Mr T’s smelly shoes 👞 It’s been great fun and our estimating skills have improved trying to guess how many cubes tall everything is🚪

Celebration of learning – Spring 2023
It was lovely to see so many parents join us this afternoon for our celebration of learning. Our Spring celebration was delayed slightly as we wanted to wait until we had the board before inviting parents in.
We shared a video of all the art work and then went to see the board.
They really did a wonderful job of the art work.
