Beautiful Work This Week
Ready, Steady, Grow!
In the spring of 2023, the KS1 pupils from primary schools across the XP Trust undertook a cross-curricular learning Expedition called ‘Ready Steady Grow’, where they looked to answer the guiding question…
‘How can I be the healthiest version of me?’
The Expedition culminated in this beautiful collaborative book – filled with recipes, healthy eating advice and the story behind the students’ learning!

‘What will I do to be a champion in my community?’ Pledges at Norton Infants!

Out of this world writers 🌍🪐☄️
The children in Crew Godley were so proud of their writing about our current text, ’Man on the Moon’. Evie and Sofia wrote their sentences independently, we were so proud of them for applying their phonics skills.

Sharing stories with Crew MI
Crew Godley were so lucky today today to be able to share some stories with Crew MI, we listened carefully and explored the stories together developing our speaking and listening skills 📚

We’re going on a ‘booknic’
This morning Y6 have took their books and picnic blankets outside to share our love of reading. Declan is even writing his own story to read!

Teacher swap(Reading) Crew MI
It was lovely to see Miss Thompson come and ready in year 6 today.

Teacher swap (Crew Boswell)
As part of Pyjamarama Day, Miss Pashley came and read Billionaire Boy to Crew Boswell. This book was chosen by Crew Boswell, as this is one of their favourite books.📚

Citizenship Crew 👫🍎🚛
As part of ‘National Healthy Eating Week’ and to celebrate the countdown to Paris 2024, Aldi, Team GB and ParalympicsGB are challenging young people aged 5–14 to get creative and design a lorry that inspires people to enjoy healthy, sustainable food. Therefore, in crew this morning we all designed our own lorries! We thought about writing, colours and suitable images to capture peoples’ attention. At the end of the session we critiqued each others and offered notices, wonders and praises! Mrs Pashley has also been tasked with choosing a winner 🌟 from each crew in LKS2! All shall be revealed in crew tomorrow…

LKS2 Community Meeting 🏫🌟🏆
Today was our last Community Meeting where it will just be us! Next week, we are very much looking forward to welcoming some of our grown ups into our Community Meetings so that we can share all of our amazing learning, celebrations, praises and appreciations!
This week we had lots to celebrate! We celebrated all of those children who took part in our Rounders Competition. Well done everyone! We are all so proud of you! 🏆

We also celebrated all of those children in each crew who read at home the most! 📚 This week’s winning crew was Crew Thompson with a total of 6 crew members reading 5 times last week! Amazing work! 🌟 I wonder which crew will take the crown next week?! 👑 We also celebrated our ‘Star Readers’ who will get to enjoy breakfast with Mrs Atherton next week! 🥐🥤

It was also nice this week to celebrate some of the children’s achievements out of school. This week we had two girls in Crew Thompson who proudly shared their medals 🥇from a recent football ⚽ tournament, where they came first! 🌟 A fantastic achievement! Well done girls! 👏

An amazing week! 🌟 We look forward to sharing more next week!
Running skills
Coach really put Crew Shields through their paces this week during their PE session. They were practicing their running skills. There were lots of tired children when they returned to class.
Well done to Kaleb and Izzy who were stars of the lesson.
