Practicing our fast running!

With the field marked out into lanes, we decided to practise how fast we could run while also learning the importance of staying in our own lane. The children showed good listening skills, waiting to start until they heard “GO!”. There was some fantastic running and listening throughout the activity. We’ve enjoyed the nice weather over the past few days, burning off some energy.

Have a lovely half term 🙂

Festival of Sports

Thank you to those families that were able to attend our fun, albeit damp and drizzly, Festival of Sports yesterday afternoon. The final sporting afternoon for our Year 6s was filled with obstacle races, sprinting and the obligatory egg and spoon race!

UKS2 Festival of Sport

Today, our UKS2 Festival of Sport was a fantastic celebration of teamwork, determination and sportsmanship. The four house teams competed in a range of exciting races including the sprint race, obstacle race, egg and spoon race, skipping race and relay race. Every child gave their best effort, cheering each other on and showing great resilience throughout the day. The atmosphere was full of energy and encouragement, making the festival a brilliant event for everyone involved.

One of the highlights of the day was the parent vs teacher race, which brought lots of laughter and excitement from the crowd. Both teams competed enthusiastically while pupils eagerly supported from the sidelines. We are incredibly proud of everyone who took part and are excited to find out which house will be crowned the overall winner on Friday!
