Chicks 🐥
It’s been such an exciting time in Nursery recently after the arrival of our chicks! We have treated them to a little paddling pool to stretch their legs in, and it meant we could sit and watch them playing together. Some of us were really eager to hold them, whilst some of us opted to just stroke them – we absolutely LOVED it! We have felt really lucky to have experienced this and we really don’t want to say goodbye to our new friends at the end of this week!

Fantastic session today. The children made an observation shelter and the winning team were the girls Maddie, Sienna, Frankie, Harper, Sophia and Heidi. Well done girls
Planting peas 🪴🌱
This afternoon, we planted our own pea seed! We followed the instructions carefully and filled out our plant planner. We can’t wait to watch our pea grow and fill in our planner! 🌱
LKS2 Community Meeting 🥇🏆👏🏫👫
This morning we had our first LKS2 Community Meeting where we invited the parents of those children who were our Learning Legends from last week! It was lovely to share each crews celebrations including ‘crew praises’, ‘HoWLs’, ‘attendance’ and ‘what we’ve done in our crew this week’, as well as ‘Reading Champions’, ‘Star Readers’ and ‘Learning Legends’. Well done to all of those pupils who received a certificate this week! 👏
Exciting evaporation experiment! 🥼🧑🔬
In expedition today, we set up our evaporation experiment! We can’t wait to check back in a few days to see what has happened and see if our predictions were correct! 👀

Crew Boswell – Freya’s Football Success!
Last weekend, I went to a national football tournament in Coventry. I went with Doncaster Elite Academy and it was lots of fun even though I got injured. At the end, I couldn’t take a penalty but my friends did and they scored. Even though I got injured last minute, I still enjoyed watching the penalties but for some of it I did have to look away because I was nervous for my team. Luckily, we won 3-2 and when we scored the winning penalty I jumped up and tried to run to my team but the they ran over to me so we could celebrate together.

LKS2 Celebration of Learning Event 🌍⛰🧑🎤🎶📖
During Hook Week, as part of The Write Stuff, all of the pupils in LKS2 wrote an invite to invite all family members to our COL event. We then created a shared invite and sent this to our COMMS Team at XP alongside our ‘rasterbator’ creation. Last week, we received our final products to hand out to our grown ups! We were super impressed with them! Hopefully your child has given you one and we would love to see you all on Wednesday 12th July at 2pm.
Massive well done to Y1 on completing their phonics screening!
Today we all enjoyed a bag of haribo to celebrate finishing our Y1 phonics screening, the children worked incredibly hard and we feel very proud of them all! 💕✅
