Multicultural week – Italy

This week we have been learning about Italy with it being multicultural week. This also fits in with our expedition because it’s allowed us to explore the country in more detail and discover things such as their food and language.
We really enjoyed learning about the famous dances which believe it or not came about because of someone being bitten by a tarantula.

Scotty’s – team work

In Scotties we were working on our listening skills and our ability to work with a partner. It was essential that we listened to instructions so that we could keep each other safe. Lots of sore muscles the following day after all those squats.

Crew MW’s School Trip!

What a wonderful day we’ve had at Austerfield! We started our day with an exciting bus journey where we drove through Doncaster and saw lots of new and exciting buildings including the Minster and train station and we even saw a police van!

When we got to Austerfield, we went on an adventure in the woods and collected lots of natural resources to create some artwork with in the afternoon. We explored the hills, the sand, the muddy puddles and the Christmas trees and we found lots of toadstools, berries and pine cones!

Then we enjoyed some delicious dinner!

After lunch, we used our natural resources to create some artwork and to make potions!

We had a lovely day, but we’re definitely ready for a sleep now!

Independent writing in MI

Crew MI continue to blow me away with their writing. Children are trying so hard with their sentence structure and are really taking on board critique. We have all really enjoyed our first writing unit, children have produced their own narrative and have shown incredible progress throughout the cycle of writing.
