Yesterday, we visited the library for some reading for pleasure time. The children chose their favourite books and enjoyed reading them. We then came back to class and the full class was engaged with our class reader Lottie reading the book Eragon.

What a lovely afternoon we had with our parents in Reception! We really appreciate everyone coming in and working with us to support their children in junk modelling vehicles to enhance our environment! As usual, the children loved having you in school and they now have some fantastic skills to junk model independently in provision 🚗
In xp outdoors the children made an octopus using strips of paper, googly eyes and a bun case.

Today we looked at different patters where we tried to reflect them across a line of symmetry. We then used a mirror line to help us to draw missing sides of shapes. We also thought about what shapes we had created. We used a mirror to help support our learning.
Today we looked at clauses, we thought about what makes a main clause and what makes a subordinate clause. We then moved to different sides of the classroom to show if parts of sentences were main clauses or subordinates clauses. We then moved onto looking at conjunctions, both coordinating and subordinating. We thought about how different conjunctions change the meaning of sentences then applied our knowledge to different sats style questions. Some great progress this week in our grammar sessions 🙂 Great work MI 🙂
So lovely to receive this feedback 🙂 Well done Crew MI and Crew Boswell
