In Crew challenge this week, we had to work together as a small crew to keep the balloon from touching the floor. We realised very quickly that we needed to use small taps and try to hit it straight up. Some great team work.

Regular verbs

In grammar this week, we have been learning about regular verbs and how they change based on whether they are in the past, present or future tense. E.g. The dog barked = past tense, The dog barks = present tense, The dog will bark = future tense.

Children worked in pairs to decide whether a sentence was the last, present or future tense.

Pumpkins

Crew Welburn got to go to xp outdoors again this week and because we are now in October we decided to decorate a pumpkin using the natural resources from the forest area.

Gardeners

Today we have experienced our 5th job in a castle, it was being the castle gardener. We loved planting our pea seed and we cannot wait to see them grow!

Crew Godley had their first guitar lesson today and Brett was so impressed by our determination to improve our skills. He said we were naturals! We can’t wait for our lesson next week!

Messengers

Today we have been messengers, we learnt that they had an important job of sharing messages to different parts of the land. We shared our message from the Battle of Hastings to the Carcroft castle.

Being cooks

In crew Marsh we are experiencing all the different jobs you might find in a castle. We have been cooks, we decorated biscuits for the King and Queen. What a Friday afternoon treat!
