Well done to these super readers 🙂

Our year 6 songs are really coming together 🙂 We are feeling super proud 🙂

MI loved their kahoot quiz this morning looking at a range of arithmetic questions! The excitement!!!! Such a great effort by all 🙂

Today we reflected on the expeditions we had covered in year 6 so we could start the beautiful work section of our final word presentations. We thought about the guiding questions, the case studies we had covered and all the learning we had produced in each case study. We then thought about the final product for each expedition. It was lovely reflecting on all the amazing things children had produced throughout the year. We then continued with our final word presentations 🙂

Today we consolidated our arithmetic skills, working together in mini crews to support each other. Some great work MI 🙂

Today we explored what it means to ’keep clean’. We had some fantastic discussions around how often our crew brush their teeth and have a bath or take a shower. We discovered some interesting facts 🦠 and finished off our crew discussion with a good old game of bingo!

A discussion in Crew Godley led to a revelation that some of the children had never sewn before 🧵🪡 We decided that this important life skill would be something really exciting to add to our labs this week. The crew have had great fun practicing how to thread and hold a needle. Jax has also found a new talent, not only is he a super artist but also a great sewer too!

Today we went on the London Underground to find the king’s crown.. we still couldn’t find it but we loved trying to get on the train as quick as possible.

Today, we looked at what fossils are and the process of fossil formation. First, we made our own fossils in modelling clay. We found this really interesting and loved seeing the patterns appear in the clay. We then worked in mini crews to order the process of fossil formation.
