Water Cycle Wheels!🌧️🌦️

Yesterday, we created our own water cycle wheel. We explained the part played by condensation and precipitation in the water cycle. We then explained the process of condensation and precipitation within the water cycle and how they are a reversible process. 🌧️🌦️

Wheeley good fun! 🌊🌧🔄

This afternoon, in Crew FE we learnt a little bit more about ‘The Water Cycle’, including ‘precipitation’, ‘condensation’ and ‘evaporation’. Crew members had lots of great questions to ask to enhance their learning further which was amazing to see and I loved how involved everyone got! We then spent the rest of the lesson making our own ‘Water Cycle Wheels’ so that we could share them with everyone else!

Crew Welburn’s super readers!

I’m so proud of all of the children in Crew Welburn for trying their very best each and every day with their reading. Our books are becoming a little bit more tricky as we move further through the year, but everyone is challenging themselves to use special friends, Fred talk, read the word, to show how smart they are getting in their reading. It is lovely to see the children working in their pairs to support each other and to cheer each other on 🙌🏻

Books and Breakfast 🥐

I had the best start to a Thursday with our READING STARs from this week. We enjoyed a croissant and orange juice and then we chatted a little bit about reading and why we enjoy it. We then explored the library and had a little bit of time looking/reading some books . I am

incredibly proud ⭐️

Voice of an angel

WOW! WOW! WOW!

Today was the turn of Shiloh to share her talent with us. She had told me she wanted to sing which I was surprised by as she can be quite shy. However, this afternoon she blew us all away!

This confident girl stood up in front of her crew and sang like an angel. I have no idea where she has been hiding that voice but I’m very glad she felt comfortable enough to share with us. Shiloh has only ever sang in front of her family so this was the first time she sang in front of a group.

A different kind of reading lesson…

This morning, we carried reading on our novel ‘Holes’ which we are really enjoying. Instead of just answering questions we had a matching activity where we had to match the question to the answer. This was really fun and really got us thinking about what the question was asking us.

Also big shout out for some great text marking. We are getting so good at this now and it really shows we are understanding what we are reading.
