Crew Shields – 15/12/20

It has been an extremely busy day in Crew Shields. We have finished off our Maths unit for this half term and spent the rest of the day completing our DT learning. The children have done a fabulous of their product and I’m sure you’ll be impressed when you see them. It’s been lovely to watch the children supporting each other through their learning.

Today’s HoWL average is: 3.3

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.0

How can we develop this tomorrow?

Tomorrow, Crew Shields need to ensure that they stay in their seats and limit movement around the classroom.

Our Be Kind Howl hero today is Kaleb!

Kaleb has been a massive help to his peers during our DT learning. He helped some students finish their learning and put a lot of effort into his product.

Nursery Advent Calendar

We have had another busy day in nursery doing some lovely festive activities 🎅❄ We continued painting our Santa pictures, the children are very excited to take them home for their grown ups 🙊 We did a Christmas themed playdough disco which then generated so much interest in our playdough area where the children then made playdough snowmen ⛄

Here is Nursery Advent Calendar Day 10. Only a couple more left, the children have enjoyed doing them so much! I am so proud of them all ♥

Crew Wilson Daily Blog: 15/12/2020

We have had a terrific Tuesday in Crew Wilson!

Highlight of the Day:

This afternoon we have been in the festive spirit and worked collaboratively to create some reindeer food, just in time for Christmas. We had to carefully mix oats, seeds and magic dust together to make our recipe, then tied each bag with a sparkly pipe-cleaner. We even wrote a little card to who we were going to give it to! We can’t wait to scatter it all on our own garden on Christmas Eve to feed Santa’s reindeer!

Howl Heroes:

Work Hard: This Howl goes to Mia today for sticking to her pledge from Crew and demonstrating her positive attitude towards her learning, well done Mia!

Get Smart: This Howl goes to Daisy and Dalton today! Daisy for her fantastic sentence in writing and Dalton for his brilliant maths work, well done guys!

Be Kind: This Howl goes to Perrie for working alongside her friends so well and always being considerate, well done Perrie!

Howl Average:

3.2 – A slight dip but some absences have brought our score down. We will be making more pledges in crew tomorrow so we can work hard to get smart and get those fab fours!

Crew Gerrard (15/12/20)

Hi everyone,

In Crew Gerrard, we’ve had a great day practicing our reading skills further, with our book Holes. We have also been practicing our multiplication skills and really knowing our times tables. It was difficult to choose the HoWL heroes for today, and they are:

Working hard: Evie 🦸‍♂️

Get smart: Jolie 🦸‍♂️

Being kind: Belle 🦸‍♂️

Our HoWL average was 3.1!

Crew Welburn’s Daily Blog 15.12.20

Tuesday ✔

Highlight of the day:

We have had lots of fun in Crew Welburn today. We have made gift tags, we’ve given out Christmas cards and written up beautiful display work. This morning, we enjoyed doing our independent writing again and learning how to subtract in maths.

HOWL heroes:

Work hard: Lylah and Bronwyn 7👏

Get smart: Harriet 👏

Be kind: Heartley 👏

Our HOWL average was 2.8 today. We can do better tomorrow Crew Welburn.

A very busy start to the last week. We have been editing  our stories and dividing by 3. My favourite part was seeing the children busily creating a draft of their finished product, before creating different parts of their polished piece. I am sure we will really enjoy sharing these.

Today’s HoWL average 3.2

Our HoWL target is: 3.1

How can we develop: Follow instructions carefully to learn new skills and get smart

Homework.

Last week 50% of our crew read all week and completed their homework. These lucky crew mates had a lucky dip on Thursday.

Crew Boswell – 14.12.2020

Some great work today though the highlight has to have been during expedition and the ideas we came up with when designing our own stained glass windows.  We were able to assess our own work against a criteria and even managed to peer-assess with consideration and good feedback.

Today’s HoWL average is: 3.0

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.0

I wonder if…

I wonder if we can really take pride in our work and think about our presentation during our learning, especially in maths.

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Our Get Smart HoWL Hero today is Tyler!

Some great work from Tyler today and even more impressive is his time management to ensure that he was able to complete it all.  Considering that we’ve only just started to focus on our 7 times tables, it’s clear that Tyler is ready for the challenge!

Crew Marsh: 14/12/20

My star moment today was seeing the children make their DT prototype. The children really concentrated on what they needed to do to achieve a good example. 👌👍😎

Average is: 2.9

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.3!

How can we develop this tomorrow?

We seem to have a lot to say this week! Make sure you save your chatting for break and lunch times!

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Our Be Smart hero today is Mia!😁✨👌👍

Mia has really impressed Miss Smith and I today in math, she has answered all of her questions independently and got on with her work quickly and efficiently. Well done Mia, we are so proud of you!
