Crew Ferguson and Crew Flaherty Snow Day 02/02/21

Morning everyone,
We too have had the message about school being closed. So the children are not needed to be online today. We have set a Math’s addition task and English task for today. (You can get this from the google classroom as normal) But we have also added the resources here for you as well.

Have a fun snow day and we will see everyone online tomorrow at 9. xx

Please have a go at a range of the tasks on these menus. There will be no learning available on the Google Classroom today.

Keep it up Crew Wilson!

Crew Welburn’s Daily Blog 1.2.2021

Monday ✅

We were super movers in PE this morning! We used Coach Shelley’s dance video to follow her moves for a carnival dance. It was so much fun! 🌟

HOWL Heroes:

Work hard: Heartley 👏

Get smart: Frankie 👏

Be kind: Tiarna 👏

HOWL Score: 2.7 We need to work on our listening tomorrow Crew Welburn.

✨Star moment✨

Star moment today was listening to the children’s ideas for their independent writing that we are starting this week, it was great to hear them use the story so far to think about what could happen next and think about what problem Marcus and his Dad might have to tackle. I can’t wait to read their finished ideas at the end of the week! ✔✏📖

Average is: 2.3 – There has been a lot of chatting in Crew Marsh today and not always having the best attitude towards learning, I am really hoping this is because we are tired and it is Monday… hopefully we are back to a 3 tomorrow! 🤞

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.1

How can we develop this tomorrow?

Crew Marsh need to continue to make sure they are fully concentrating on their learning and listening to instructions, we have been quite chatty, silly and not always having a positive attitude.

Howl hero:

Work hard hero today is Millie! 🙌😊😊

Millie has worked so hard today, she has really made an effort to ensure her work is neat and that she is finishing learning in the timings given. Well done Millie, this has not gone unnoticed. You are a role model in Crew Marsh! ✨💕😁

Crew Gerrard (1/2/21)

Cracking Monday! What a great day we have had on the first day of the new month. After overcoming our tiredness we spoke about Crew and the importance of it. We then moved onto our reading sessions about Holes. In maths, we’ve been practicing our fractions and have done a great job of that. It’s been a tricky choice for HoWL hero today, but they are:

Work Hard: Belle for being a fantastic role model for Crew today in all subjects 😃

Get Smart: Brayden for cracking his fractions 😁

Be Kind: Jolie for helping to brighten our day 😃

Our HoWL average is 3.1, which is a great start to Monday! 😆

Crew Kent Blog – 1.2.21

Today, we could’ve given anyone HOWL hero… but the lucky 3 were:

Work hard: Roxanne – working hard in her reading online.

Get smart: Keegan – for challenging himself in math’s.

Be kind: Skyler – for helping coach Shelly during P.E.

🤩 We are super proud to say that our HOWL average today is 3.5! We’ve worked super hard to achieve this and we’re really now thinking about what each HOWL really means.

Advice for Child to Self-Isolate for 10 Days

Dear Parents / Carers,

As you are aware, at the request of the Department for Education (DFE), we have introduced Lateral Flow Testing of staff to keep everybody in our school as safe as possible.

Unfortunately, a staff member has had a positive result following the use of a Lateral Flow Test and will therefore now take a PCR test to confirm this as a positive case of Covid-19.  Until the result is received and in accordance with DFE guidance, any child who has close contact with the affected staff member must isolate immediately.

Your child has been identified as having had close contact with the member of staff and will therefore need to isolate until the PCR results are returned.

Should the result of the PCR test of the staff member return as a negative result then your child will be able to return to school if they have been accessing in-school learning.  We will inform you of any changes via text and email.

Should the result of the PCR test of the staff member return as a positive your child will need to continue their isolation until the 10 days have finished.

Please note that other members of your household can continue normal activities provided your child does not develop symptoms within the 10 day self-isolation period.

We are asking you to do this to reduce the further spread of COVID 19 to others in the community and to support the NHS.

It is unfortunate that we are unable to have Crew Elmer in school until further notice.

Furthermore, their class teachers will be available to support with online learning.  We would like children to check-in everyday as part of our safeguarding procedures.  Children should be familiar with this process however should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for your continued support during this difficult time.

Stay safe.

Yours sincerely

Mrs Lythe
