They worked together as a crew to help each other to the other end
In today’s experience lesson we tried to see if we could find where penguin was because he was feeling lonely and sad. Luckily using our telescopes we managed to find him rowing in an umbrella!
This week we have been learning about Spring. We have been reading The Hungry Caterpillar 🐛 We have practised sequencing the story in our small groups, and made some lovely butterfly pictures!
In our mindful crew session this week, we looked at how sometimes we can feel lonely. We had a great discussion about what feeling lonely meant and how we can do things which can make us feel less lonely. We then chotted these ideas down on a sheet. It was lovely to see the things that we can do to make us feel happy 😃🥰
We just love our Wednesday morning Scottys session!! We always work super hard as a team to achieve a common goal. Today, we had to work together to complete the assault course. This included carrying tyres, jumping through tyres and getting from one base to the other. We are definitely getting better at this every time we try! 💪🛞👏
Our crew challenge this week was called “drawing twins”. We had to work in pairs to try and recreate the image on the board. We had to listen very carefully to the instructions but we all had to make sure we was giving very clear and precise instructions.
Today we were scientists in our expeditionary learning and looked at animals and their offspring. We talked about how mammals give birth to live babies and how most reptiles and bird lay eggs. We matched animals and the hound as well as animals which go through a metamorphic changes so they don’t look like their mothers when they are born, such as butterflies and frogs.
Today in Crew we worked in pairs to mirror our partners. We had to pay close attention to all their body movements and some of us found it very tricky!
Today in our expedition we were scientist and looked at animals and their offspring. We talked about how mammals give birth to live babies and how reptiles and bird lay eggs. We matched animals who go through a metamorphic changes so they don’t look like their mothers when they are born. We then discussed and wrote about the changes for example lava to caterpillar to butterfly.
Today we have learnt about mummies and babies and how the scientific word for this is “offspring”. We matched the mums to their offspring and learnt what each of their babies were called.
