In todays PE session, we developed our throwing skills in dodgeball and our sportsmanship shone through. ✨ Many children stood out for being ready for upcoming dodgeball tournaments in the future. Well done Crew Mcloughlin and Crew MI! I throughly enjoyed teaching todays PE lesson!
Unfortunately, UKS2 were not able to complete their netball tournament. After 1 and a half games, the heavens opened and soaked us to our bones. The tournament was then cancelled.
Despite this, we were so excited to get playing and give it our very best, in a sport where our experience is limited. Even though we only played for a few moments, we learned quickly how to play effective netball. Finding space, speedy passes and using team work to score a goal.
Sadly, we will have to wait before we can play anymore games in a netball tournament. Check out our photos, including our Mrs Rhodes brolly photo. It wouldn’t be a tournament without us being huddled under the brolly!
On behalf of Coach Luke (Active Fusion) we would like to invite any girls in KS2 (Year 3, 4, 5 and 6) to attend a football try-out on Wednesday evenings after school (3:00-4:00) in preparation for some upcoming tournaments. Please sign up via ParentPay to secure your place!
During Crew time, we celebrated those pupils with HoWLs that are ‘Great’ meaning their HoWL average is 3.5+. We showed our appreciation for how hard they work with a little cake!

If you would like your child to attend please ensure you have signed up before 3pm today! Unfortunately we can not accept payment any later due to organising refreshments and staffing.
All children will enter through their classroom doors tomorrow for the disco at 3.30pm where they will be registered if payment has been made. We ask that children are collected at 4.30pm from their classroom doors.
Preparations for Young Voices will begin on Tuesday 1st November (3:00-4:00) for children in KS2. Please ensure that your child is signed up via ParentPay to secure their place. The club will be FREE to attend and further information about our Young Voices performance will be sent out in due course. This event is always such a great success and it would be fantastic if as many children as possible are able to attend our rehearsals weekly ready for our performance at Sheffield Arena in January 2023!
We started the week researching different types of forces. We got hands on to demonstrate these to develop a deeper understanding before we are going to focus on these individually later on in the week.
We now can explain and demonstrate gravity, friction, water resistance and air resistance 🤩
This week in Scottys Heroes, in our mini crews, we built shelters in the forest. We developed invaluable team working skills and thoroughly enjoyed embracing the outdoors!
