We went on a trip to Trafalgar square to find the King’s crown, which has gone missing just before his coronation. There was lots of beeping black taxi’s, red buses and shoppers in the square.

KS1 have loved attending the dodgeball tournament today. They were a credit to the school and worked their socks off… I am sure they will sleep well tonight.
This week in xp outdoors Crew Godley made their own paper fish.
To kick start our King Charles learning we looked at memories of the Queen that have happened over her reign. We looked at the Queen’s coronation and the Queen’s platinum jubilee. We really enjoyed watching the different memories and learning/understanding what happened in them and why.
In crew today Crew Marsh learnt about St George and all the kind things he did. We created a rose to celebrate him.
In XP Outdoors today we had to find something straight, green, beautiful etc. We then shared everything we found with each other and noticed how all chose different items.
In crew today we competed against each other to build the tallest tower out of paper and sellotape.
In xp outdoors the children made an octopus using strips of paper, googly eyes and a bun case.
To hook is into our new writing we looked into our new book – The Tunnel.
We pieced together the book front cover, predicted what might happen, crawled through a tunnel and acted out how the character might be feeling.
