Crew Thiede 14.4.21

Today we went down the Yellow Brick Road…💛

The children looked amazing in their Oz themed costumes. We had lots of Dorothy’s, Tin men and even a flying monkey!

The children really loved seeing the special performance of the Wizard of Oz today! They sang along, clapped their hands and booed the Wicked Witch of the West.

We were so proud of the children today! They were amazing examples of our values showing our visitor how special our crew is! It was so tricky to pick a HOWL hero.

Today’s HOWL hero is Thomas! He has been an amazing crew member today! He has been helping his crew without needing reminders from grown ups!

Crew Gerrard (14/4/21)

What a great day we have had, it really has been a lot of fun. We conquered our fears and loved swimming, I was really proud of the effort and listening skills on place. I was very proud. We then re-capped some geography knowledge. This afternoon we then watched a fantastic production of the Wizard of Oz. It’s been very difficult to choose HoWL Heroes, but they are:

Work Hard: Brayden for listening carefully at swimming 😁

Get Smart: Riley for being able to improve his swimming straight away 😃

Be Kind: All of Crew Gerrard, you were exceptional today! 😄

Our HoWL Average was 3.3 today! Well done guys

Our Get Smart Hero today is Frankie!

Frankie has come back to school today and worked so hard! We are so proud of her in Crew Marsh because we know it hasn’t been easy with her arm 😊👏

Crew Shields – 14/4/21

The children have really enjoyed their Wizard of Oz themed day especially seeing the different costumes of their peers. They found the Wizard of Oz production hilarious and they joined in with the singing and dancing. They even got to experience magic when the Professor jumped into the screen. Crew Shields have really enjoyed their day and voted for the best costume which was won by Reece. His homemade costume was fantastic and we are glad he shared it with us.

To further improve, Crew Shields need to ensure that they are being respectful when moving around the school building.

Crew Thiede 13.4.21

Another busy and happy day in Crew, such a positive start to Summer term.

We spent most of our day outside today enjoying the fresh air. We used lots of equipment and our imaginations to build dens! It was so much fun and we found lots of things to do in them like using pots and pans to make music!

Today’s HOWL hero was Lucas! He has been such a good example of getting smart today by using amazing listening skills showing green standard during group sessions.

Crew Longley – 13.04.2021

Another busy day in Crew Longley. We started by thinking about kindness and how we can pay compliments to people and share positivity. Then we started thinking about fractions and halving, writing character descriptions and reviewing our slightly disgusting egg experiment.

Our Howl Average today was 3.1

Our Weekly Howl Target is 3.0

We need 8 more ‘3’s’ to earn our Nelli day! 🐶🐶

Today’s Howl hero was Kayden. He has worked hard to complete his work and shown kindness, even when he was feeling a little frustrated. Kayden also kindly shared the 5 Red Ninja trick to help breathe and self-regulate. Something we have tried to do today.

Crew Shields – 13/4/21

Crew Shields have blown me away today with some of their writing based around the Tinman from the Wizard of Oz. When I think back to their writing in September, I can’t believe how much they have come on. Children were using inverted commas independently today and this shows they are retaining their previous learning. This makes me and Mrs Lowe very happy. They should be very proud of themselves! Well done Crew Shields!

Crew Shields Average : 3.0

Targets for this week : 3.2

How can we improve?

To further improve, Crew Shields need to ensure that they always demonstrating active listening so they know what they need to do.

Crew Shields Get Smart Howl Hero – RiRi
