Daily blog: 14/09/20

Hi all,

Star moment of the day:

Today we have worked super hard at being able to round to the nearest 100! This has taken a lot of concentration and hard work.

Today’s HoWL average is: 2.9

Children score themselves HoWL points on the end of every school day, they score against Work Hard, Get Smart and Be Kind. Crew Marsh has become very honest with scoring themselves at the end of the day and can justify why they think this.

How can we improve this tomorrow?

Tomorrow Crew Marsh need to make sure that everyone is listening to every instruction

and then being able to follow it.

Today’s HoWL Hero:

This week we are concentrating on working hard, as if you work hard, you get smart!

Our work hard hero today is: Preston!!

Preston you have worked so hard in all of your subjects today, well done!

Crew Gerrard HoWL update (14/09/20)

Hi everyone.

In Crew Gerrard we have had a really strong day and I know tomorrow will be even better. We averaged 3.3 today, which is a great start to the week. Our HoWL heroes for today are:

  • Evie for working hard – your second paragraph has started brilliantly, keep it up!
  • Jolie for get smart – you were trying your very best in all subjects, well done!
  • Kian for being kind – you were always the first to show your peers that you were listening and encouraging others to make the right choice – keep leading by example.

Let’s continue this great start to the week.

Mr G 😊

Crew Longley – 14.09.2020

A great start to the week!

Today our Crew have been working to develop our HOWLs (Habits of Work and Learning). At the end of day we assess ourselves from 1-4 in Work Hard, Get Smart and Be Kind.

Today our crew average is 3.1.

Our target for this week is to improve on the weekly average of 2.7.

Today’s HOWL Hero is Lacey Parker. We have chosen Lacey because she has really shown a great attitude towards her learning, especially in Maths. Well done Lacey!

Daily Blog 10.09.2020

Welcome to Crew Longley’s blog.  Myself and Miss Holdsworth are really looking forward to sharing updates on our Crew’s Habits of Work and Learning (HOWLs) progress each day and sharing some of the special moments from across the year.

It really has been lovely spending time getting to know our new crew mates and developing our crew ethos. We have also enjoyed being writers, mathematicians, readers, computer scientists, artists, geographers and friends across the first two weeks. But above all, I am so proud of the level of kindness our Crew have shown to each other and the wider community.

Time to start blogging!

Crew Fox have had a good start to the half term and have impressed the Crew leaders and deputy leaders with how well they are beginning to understand the different changes we have made to learning this year. It has been lovely getting to know all of the children and getting stuck in to some quality learning. We can’t wait to show you what they’ve been up to…

Daily Blog: 10.09.2020

Welcome to our new class daily blog!

This is such an exciting time for our children starting school and we look forward to sharing our daily learning experiences with you 😊

We have really enjoyed welcoming all of our children back to school, it has been a fabulous start to the year and the children in Foundation Stage have settled in extremely well 💕 Our focus over the next couple of weeks will be on settling the children into school, helping them to make friends and get used to the all the new routines. During this time, you can support your child at home by talking positively about their experiences at school. If your child is upset or anxious at any time, please talk to the staff in your child’s class. At Carcroft Primary we really value partnerships with parents and we hope to work closely with you throughout the year🏫  We are always happy to talk so if you ever have any questions or concerns please come and see us. With very best wishes, The EYFS Team 🙂
