Work hard: Charlie 👏

Get smart: Lylah 👏

Be kind: Tiarna 👏

Our HOWL average was 2.9 today. We can do better than this tomorrow Crew Welburn.

Crew Kent Daily Blog 1.12.20

Today in crew we have really impressed Miss Ferguson with our resilience and attitudes towards our learning. We started our day by completing several laps of the Muga Pitch on our quest to reach the North Pole before Christmas. We worked as a crew to complete 41 laps towards our total. We have worked as a crew to decorate our classroom and create a Christmassy atmosphere to work in until Christmas.

Today our HOWL average was: 3.6! Amazing everyone!

Today we have decided as a crew that we should all receive HOWL hero’s for “working hard” “getting smart” and “being kind”.

Crew Elmer Daily Blog 30.11.20

Magic Monday! 🤩 Today has been a FAB day in Crew Elmer and just what we all needed to kick start the week off! Even if the first hour was a little shaky due to staff absence and a change of routine!

Star moment of the day:

This has to be our ‘Expedition’ lesson today! I was blown away with the children’s enthusiasm to learn about Sikhism and in particular the Langar and how a valuable gift is offered to all. The children had a good understanding of equality, the processes that operate in the Langar and also the importance of why Gurdwara’s have one. The children also enjoyed tasting some chapattis and mango chutney! 😋

Todays HoWL average is: 3.0

A great start to the week! Well done Crew Elmer! 👍🙌👏⭐🤩 Let’s see if we can get above the 3.0 score tomorrow! 🤞

This week’s HoWL target is: 3.1

How can we develop this tomorrow?

Crew Elmer need to make sure that they stick to tomorrows new line order and that they walk through school quietly, smartly and kindly. This will help to boost some of those HoWL scores I’m sure! 😊

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Today after listening to lots of praises, including one from Miss Hart, I had the hard decision of choosing just one special child for our HoWL Hero today! Today’s HoWL Hero went to Lily-Beth for being ‘super smart’! In our Expedition lesson today Lily-Beth really impressed me with the knowledge that she had absorbed through images, video clips and factual information. She was then able to use this to produce a fantastic image and detailed description all about the Langar that is found in Gurdwara’s. Honestly, if you want to find out any facts about Sikhs, Gurdwara’s or Langar’s then ask this young lady because she sure does know it all! See below for a picture of Lily-Beth’s beautiful work! 💕✏📝📒

What a busy day we have had in nursery. We were full of beans this morning so it was perfect to go straight into PE and burn off some energy 🔥 We had lots of fun pretending to be different jungle animals, moving our bodies in lots of different ways. We were tall giraffes 🦒 , slithering snakes 🐍 , big elephants 🐘cheeky monkeys 🐒 and rhinos 🦏. We danced to some Christmas music too which really got us feeling festive 🎄

We are going to be reading the story ‘Stickman’ by Julia Donaldson. Today we watched the short film of the story which we really enjoyed. We will read the book this week and will be doing some work around the story.

The most exciting part of the day was starting to record our Christmas advent calendar of songs. The children did absolutely amazing and we only needed to do 2 takes of recording 😂🙌🏼 We can’t wait for you to see the first song tomorrow 🙊🎄

Marvellous Monday!

Highlight of the day

Today’s highlight has to be decorating for Christmas! We all decorated a letter to spell out a Christmas message and designed our Christmas outfits!

I wonder if there will be any surprises tomorrow when we arrive at school?

We have had a brilliant first day back in Crew Wilson!

Highlight of the Day:

This afternoon we got into the festive spirit by decorating our classroom with Christmas crafts – the Crew did such a good job working together to make sure everything looked perfect, and not a grinch in sight!

Check out the video below, full classroom update coming tomorrow 😁🎅🏻🎄🎁👇🏻

Howl Heroes:

Work Hard: This Howl goes to Finn for smashing his maths test and carefully thinking about every answer, great work!

Get Smart: This Howl goes to Luke for his fantastic effort across the whole day, Luke has tried really hard with his learning, well done!

Be Kind: This Howl goes to Debbie-Mae for her brilliant collaboration with her crew today, she worked great as part of a team to construct our massive paper chain!

Howl Average:

3.5 – a good start to the week and we’ve already beaten our score from last week, lets see if we can keep it going!

Crew Shields – 30/11/20

The children have really been enjoying computing over this term and today they got to practice their coding skills to create a Dance party. They had to watch a video that guided them through the process before completing the task themselves. By completing this task, the children had to really work on their listening skills and work as a crew.

This afternoon, the children were given the opportunity to trim up the classroom and make a Christmas bauble. It’s lovely to start getting into the Christmas spirit with the children and I’m looking forward to all the lovely Christmas activities we have planned over the next few weeks.

Today’s HoWL average is: 3.1

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.0

How can we develop this tomorrow?

To improve further, Crew Shields need to continue working on their resilience when it comes to a task they are finding difficult.

Our Be Smart hero today is Kaleb!

Kaleb worked really hard in Arithmetic today by using the strategies we have been practicing to help him answer the questions. Well done Kaleb.
