Ready position

Over the last two weeks, we have been working on our net and wall techniques. This has meant we have needed to be able to do the ready position in order to be able to pass and receive the ball over the net.

I have been so impressed with how well the children have improved their technique in just two weeks!

Being kind ♥️

Today in crew we explored what kindness with our hands looked like. We thought about what kind things we can do with our hands to show that we care, for example giving a high five 🖐️ or a wave 👋 or even a hug 🤗 We then worked together in mini crews to sort kind and unkind actions, this led to some great discussions about our views and opinions. This linked perfectly to our stewardship roles in crew and the children were able voice how we take cares of not only each other but our environment too.

Case Study 2 reflection

Today, we completed our case study 2 reflection by adding our knowledge to a padlet. We added lots of important information to the padlet and the children were able to unpick the questions so they could add as much detail as possible. It was great to see how much the children had remembered and how engaged they was completing the reflection.

Funnybones Skeleton Hunt🦴💀🔎

Since half term, Crew Pashley has been writing about the Funnybones story. It is one of our favourite books to read as a crew. 📖Today, to start our second week of writing, we did a skeleton jigsaw hunt to engage us in our learning! 👀We searched all over the classroom then had to join the pieces together- we had to check we had all six pieces and that they were in the right places!

Remembrance Day thoughts in MI

Today we started to think about Remembrance Day and what this is. We watched a video clip to help generate our discussions then started to make our Remembrance Day wreath. We look forward to learning more about Remembrance Day in our crew sessions this week and finishing our wreath for our assembly on Friday.
