Oh it’s been a tough one today. The children were working on their stamina so they were put through their paces.
Well done to Maddie who was Scotty’s hero today.

A bit windy outside today but the children still loved it. They showed off their exercise skills by keeping fit.

This week in maths we have been learning about money and the value of different coins. Today we worked in pairs to work out how much money was in different jars pinned around the room. I was very impressed with their knowledge and addition skills. I wonder if you could practice making different amounts of money at home?
We have been creating pictures using different healthy fruits to print. Some of us even used some of the foods like a paintbrush and made other patterns and designs on our paper! The corn on the cob made a fun pattern when we rolled it like a rolling pin!

We’ve been looking at ABAB patterns in maths and we decided to use dinosaurs to make our own!

As part of our final product, we used sponges to print a pastel colour onto a plant pot. We will be filling our plant pot with compost and planting daffodil bulbs in them so we can watch them grow! 🌼

Today MI visited the library and spent some time getting lost in our own books 🙂 We also enjoyed reading to others and sharing our stories.

Today we continued to plan our independent diary entry. We thought about the gold and green targets we had created and started to build some of the sentences we could use in our writing. We added these to post it notes which we will refer to when we start writing.

Today each mini crew was given a story sentence opener! Children had to continue the story in their mini crew then share with the whole crew at the end! Some great expressive voices were used and some great language choices. Well done MI 🙂

Today we learnt about he importance of personal hygiene and how to show our hands properly. There are 10 steps to follow!
