In our dance lesson today we created a crew safari dance, we looked out for the different animals that we might see when going on safari and how they might look and move. We are getting so good at counting to 8 in our head so we are all time!

Today we finished our book of “Our Tower” the children met a man in the tree who gifted them a stone with a hole in it, the stone gave them a different view of the world. Once leaving the magical inside of the tree the children decided to use this to view their city. This now looked completely different through their viewpoint – the once grey and dull city no longer looked dull and boring but now looked fun with people having picnics and playing, the sun was shining and everyone was having fun.
It left us thinking that if you change your view on something it might not be as bad as it seems.




















Today we wrote the first chunk of our first plot point. We are creating our own narrative using a clip for our stimulus. Today we used our chotting from last week to help us to create a shared write on our character. We described Tadeo Jone’s appearance and personality whilst using expanded noun phrases, conjunctions and similes. We are excited to move onto the setting of our story 🙂 Some great work MI!






What an amazing maths lesson we had today! We explored a clock thinking about the minute and hour hands then looked at o’clock, half past, quarter to and quarter past. We showed different times on our clocks and also had a try at writing the time. We will continue to work on our time knowledge tomorrow where we will explore other time intervals.



















In computing, we completed the next 2 lessons which helped us understand what is a website and understand the use of a router. We discussed how it worked before drawing a diagram to help us understand how it works.

Well done to Charlie and Finn who took part in a football tournament in Butlins last weekend.










On Tuesday, we celebrated St George’s Day with a picnic and an afternoon of learning about British Values.
In crew, we learned about Sir George and how it came to be St George’s Day. Then in the afternoon reviewed the areas of British Values before focusing on Rule of Law. We discussed how there are rules and law for the safety of everyone and ensure people are treated fairly. The crew shared some of the rules they have at home then we designed poster that had the expectations of our classroom.







In our first History lesson, we quickly recapped ordering the Mayan timeline. When we completed it during hook week, there was a misconception about how to order BC dates. Therefore, we had another check in to ensure we’d remembered how to accurately order BC and AD events.
Next time we worked together in small groups to match some vocabulary and their definitions.
Then we learned some facts about the Mayan so we could start to understand this ancient civilisation.
In our book talk session, we have started looking at some of the elements that make us a fluent reading. Our focus for this lesson was ensuring we pause in the correct places. We discussed the importance of paying in the correct places which helps us with comprehension of the text. We used echo read which allowed us to see where we should pause. Each lesson we will focus on a different element of fluency which will support us as readers.



After completing out written comprehension, we had a guided lesson to help us with being able to ensure we are providing enough evidence and explanation to answer inference questions.
