Today in KS1, we continued exploring what Christians believe about God. We played a game of ‘I spy’ to deepen our understanding about the christian faith and how this is represented in different artefacts. This led to some brilliant discussions around the Christian faith and why crosses, bibles and angels are important. Leyland was able to tell us that the bible is a book of stories which helps us understand the acts of Jesus and God.
We had lots of fun in Crew this morning sharing our special things. The children all listened to each other and asked great questions.

We’ve had lots more children reading at home and almost everyone has returned their homework which means I’ve been able to give out lots of raffle tickets. In addition, nearly everyone has scored 7 or more out of 10 on their spelling test. You’ve smashed it this week! Keep it up!

Developing our communication and team work skills in challenge crew this morning 🙂
KS1 were very lucky to be visited by three local firefighters today. They showed us all of their equipment and answered lots of questions about their job and how they help people in the community. I wonder if any other heroes will visit us in the future?
Well done to all of our children who were celebrated in todays community meeting. We celebrated children who had worked hard, to get smart across the curriculum, from children who were applying their maths skills in independently to those who were able to perfect their fundamental skills in PE.
In crew this morning we talked about what we can do to be kind to our families at home. We drew our idea on a heart and added them to our kindness jar.
This morning we drew or wrote something that makes us feel happy and put it into our happiness jar.
