For our next writing unit, we will be constructing a letter to the Romans to tell them all about Christmas. However, yesterday we received a letter from a Roman citizen called Marcus. He told us about their Roman celebration Saturnalia. We then had a go at making sun decorations, writing menus for a feast and creating small gifts. This helped us to understand the festival Saturnalia.
