In our expedition, Coming to Doncaster, Why then, Why now? We have been exploring why the Romans came to Britain. We learned that they wanted treasures like gold and silver, as well as land and power. After that, we wrote a letter pretending to be a Roman soldier on their way to Britain. We enjoyed imagining what it would be like to be making such a voyage.
