Today we wrote our first plot point 🙂 We used all the chotting we created yesterday to help us in our shared write then we applied our own ideas to our work. We used the action, notice, hear and feelings lenses to help us to build our sentences.

Crew MI are creating their own class lap book to demonstrate their knowledge of Colombia. We are exploring human and physical geography a little more and comparing this also to the United Kingdom. We are all excited to finish this next week.
A big well done to MI’s certificate winners this week 🙂
Auditions have begun in Crew Mcloughlin – who has what it takes to be a Carcroft Changemaker? We had 8 children go head to head in a battle to win, simply by giving a one minute speech about why they would be good for the role. It all came down to that last vote, it was very close but we have our winner… Alicia.
Well done! I am sure you are going to exceed in your role as Carcroft Changemaker.
Crew Boswell had a great session of tag rugby and are really starting to developed their skills.
Today, was our first guitar lesson in year 5 and we were all rock stars!
Today we built shelters after running from the fire in London.
We’ve been working really hard on our learning to blend steps in phonics this week. We’ve been listening to Fred’s Fred talk, blending the sounds into words and then using our magnetic letters to make the words. Once we’ve made them, we’ve used our ‘Fred talk, read the word’ to sound out and read the words back! We’re all going to be super blenders in no time!
This morning, we had a fab scottys session outside. We focused on working as a team and building crew relationships! This is definitely something we are going to continue to work on and develop in Crew Thompson! 🛞💪
A few parents have asked for clarity on the MTC section of the homework.
Children need to use TTRS to practice their timetables and then complete an MTC test which they’ll record the score of.
This is to get the children use to the time limit to answer each question.
Thanks
