After weeks of hard work and practice today KS1 performed ‘A Wriggly Nativity’ to a packed out audience and what a show they put on! The dancing, singing, acting and narrating were all outstanding. You should be very proud of yourselves! Merry Christmas Everyone!
In challenge crew this week, we played a game of Christmas charades. We had to act out different things for our crew to guess! Some of the ones we had to act out were “catching a snowflake on your tongue”, “putting the star on the top of the tree” and “making snow angels”. We had lots of fun!🎄👏
In our reading lesson, we have been reading the poem “‘Twas the night before Christmas”. In our book talk lessons, we noticed that each line in the poem ends in a rhyming word for example “house” and “mouse”. As a Do Now task, we played a game of imposter. We had to find our rhyming pair. Hidden in the words was an odd one out. Luckily, we found it! 🌟🔍📚
Well done to James for winning our reading competition! James has worked really hard to make sure he reads at home every day! Keep it up James, our crew are really proud of you! 📚🌟
In crew, we have worked on really unpicking how we show respect and manners around school. We thought of some great examples such as “saying please and thank you when I get my dinner” and “holding the door open for my crew”. The most important message that Crew Thompson came up with was “treat others how we would want to be treated”.
This afternoon, we have added the final pieces to our final draft. We have used earbuds to create the leaves. Each section shows the leaves in the different seasons. We can’t wait to see the final draft complete.
We are determined in MI to ensure we can tie our shoe laces so we have been busy practising this morning! 🙂
This afternoon Acro lunchtime club held an assembly to show us everything they had learnt over the last 6 weeks. We were all impressed with how many skills they had learnt and how well they all performed. Well done acro club! We cannot wait to see how much more you learn next half term!
In today’s writing lesson we read where the postman delivered his christmas mail to next, it was to a red tin house that was tiny. It belonged to a gingerbread man. We created our own gingerbread men and then looked at the book that the postman delivered him. We loved reading the story that the postman had posted and then enjoyed a cup of tea and mini mince pie.
Another busy day as postman in Crew Marsh and luckily it was our last.
