What a tremendous Tuesday!
Today I want to give a massive shout out to the whole Crew – Crew Godley have absolutely worked their socks off today! They have worked so hard to show all of their teachers what “Working Hard” looks like when they are working with an adult. I am very proud!
Highlights of the Day
RWI Another day of fantastic phonics progress. Today I had the pleasure of teaching our children the phoneme ‘m’ – Maisie, Maisie, Mountain! The children sorted objects beginning with the sound ‘m’, identified the grapheme and successfully blended CVC words including the sound ‘m’. We then tried really hard to write the grapheme ‘m’, well done everybody!
Math’s The children have been focusing on number recognition on exploring lots of different ways to represent the numbers they have been focusing on. We were super impressed with how some children are beginning to form their numbers and becoming focused on 1:1 touch counting.
Crew Learning In Crew learning today we have being thinking about how a rainbow 🌈can symbolise our thoughts and feelings. The children were very excited to share their experiences during COVID and how the rainbow helped them during the difficult time🌈 . We then used colours to show how different things made us feel. Grace used the colour pink as this made her feel loved💕 She then drew a fantastic picture of ‘Mummy’ as she loves her 👩👧 and labelled this with a ‘M’ for Mummy. We love to see children applying their phonics skills!
