Crew Elmer Daily Blog 16.12.20

Wonderful Wednesday! 😊 We have had a lovely day in Crew Elmer today! 🤩

Star moment of the day:

This has got to be our Expedition work in today’s lesson. The children worked incredibly hard on designing their products, creating their stained glass windows and evaluating their designs. Keep your eye out for photos on tomorrow’s blog! 👀

Todays HoWL average is: 3.3

This is a great improvement from yesterday! Well done Crew Elmer! Several children have displayed some lovely acts of kindness and with everyone working so hard this has really helped to get those scores back up! 🙌👍👏

This week’s HoWL target is: 3.3

How can we develop this tomorrow?

Although it is the last day of term and we are all very excited about Christmas the children need to ensure that they continue to follow all of the HoWLs so that we can end the term on a great score! You know you can do it Crew Elmer! 🤞

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Today’s HoWL Hero was given lots of praises by her Crew members for being really kind today, which didn’t go unnoticed by me when she let someone else use her laptop. 💕 However, I chose this girl for working incredibly hard all day, not only when doing the ’99 club’, and ‘Hooked on Books’ but also in ‘Expedition’. She worked so hard that she even managed to make two stained glass windows! Excellent work today Frankie! Well done! 👏👍🙌🤩✏📝⭐

Our star moment today is when we delivered our brochures to Carcroft community! We loved it!

The children spoke so highly about Carcroft and our expedition, you have made UKS2 proud crew Mcloughlin😀

Crew Marsh: 16/12/20

My star moment today was watching the children evaluate their DT work, it was impressive to see how they could critique their work and think about improvements. ✨👌✔

Average is: 2.6

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.3!

How can we develop this tomorrow?

Crew Marsh needs to remember when we’re lining up it is, facing forwards and voices off. AGAIN!

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Our Be kind hero today is Harper!🙌😁

Harper has made sure she has been kind to her peers all week, making sure everyone is feeling happy and helping any one in class that needs it. Well done Harper! 👍

Crew Wilson Daily Blog: 16/12/2020

We have had a wonderful Wednesday in Crew Wilson!

Highlight of the day:

We have completed our independent writing about the Nativity Story and some of the sentences I have read have been absolutely fantastic! Some children have really gone above and beyond and written lots of powerful, descriptive sentences to reach our ‘Green Standard’! The Crew have come a long way since our first writing task in September and I am so proud of all they have achieved! We have worked so hard this term and have definitely earned our party day tomorrow!

Howl Heroes:

Work Hard: Dalton for his brilliant blending in Read Write Inc. Reading and writing isn’t Dalton’s favourite thing to do but he demonstrated how hard he was working throughout the lesson, well done Dalton!

Get Smart: Luke and Bobby-J for their independence in Maths. Although Mrs Brown was sat on their table today, these two boys just cracked on with their work straight away, listened carefully to the instructions and got all of their answers right, well done guys!

Be Kind: Eva for helping her friends with their work without being asked. Eva could see some children were struggling and offered to help them straight away, well done Eva!

Howl Average:

3.5

A good score, lots of reflection on our personal pledges that were made in Crew and one more day to get those fab fours, we can do it!

Crew Gerrard (16/12/20)

Hi everyone,

In Crew Gerrard, we’ve had a great day delivering our leaflets, from our first expedition (What does the Carcroft Community have to offer?). The children were absolutely buzzing and very proud of their beautiful work, which was amazing to see them sharing them with some of our local businesses. It was difficult to choose the HoWL heroes for today, and they are:

Working hard: Alicia 🦸‍♂️

Get smart: Lucas 🦸‍♂️

Being kind: Tyler🦸‍♂️

Our HoWL average was 3.1!

Let’s make tomorrow a really fantastic last day (at school) of 2020!😆

Wednesday ✔

Highlight of the day:

We have finally finished our independent write and we’ve had lots of proud moments reading out our stories. We have also enjoyed doing our COJO challenge with Mrs Thorpe at lunch time. We had to build up our crew skills to communicate effectively with each other. We’re also really excited for party day tomorrow!

HOWL heroes:

Work hard: Bronwyn 👏

Get smart: Mariama 👏

Be kind: Kairen 👏

Our HOWL average was 3.1 today. Well done Crew Welburn!.

Tricky Tuesday! Today has been a little bit tricky without Miss Hart today but thank you to all of those crew members who have been my little assistants and very helpful all day! 🤗 You know who you are! 😊

Star moment of the day:

This has got to be our final PE session today! The children all had lots of fun dancing around and participating in lots of different Christmas activities. What really made it impressive for me was how mature and accepting some children were when they were ‘out’ of the game. Big praise also to Esme who showed great empathy to Sienna who had a little accident! 🙊 The kindness that Esme demonstrated was unbelievable. Well done Esme! 💕

Todays HoWL average is: 3.1

This is a slight drop from yesterday but I believe that this is down to a few crew members letting the rest of the crew down throughout today. Hopefully we can work as a crew and improve this tomorrow! 🤞

This week’s HoWL target is: 3.3

How can we develop this tomorrow?

Work as a crew to ensure that we are all achieving 3’s in our HoWLs!

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Today’s HoWL Hero was praised by lots of crew members today but she equally stood out to me! I chose Kacey-Leigh for working hard all day. Kacey-Leigh has been doing lots of extra work recently to help her to get smart quicker and she hasn’t moaned at all. She has just got straight on with it and shown great resilience! Well done Kacey-Leigh! 👍👏⭐📝✏😁🙌🤩

Crew Marsh: 15/12/20

Harlie is always incredibly helpful in the classroom, she is always kind to everyone in her crew. Today especially, Harlie has gone above and beyond and has tidied my classroom to perfection today. Thanks Harlie!
