LKS2 HELP!

LKS2 are looking for some help! Do you know a dentist or dental nurse who would be willing to do an expert visit or talk to the children as part of their next expedition.

Please let us know if you would be willing to visit (or Zoom) or if you know someone who could help.

Any help would be really appreciated 🤞

Happy March!

A grey, foggy start to the day could not dampen our delight at being back as a crew! We have had a wonderful day settling back in, completing reading, maths, writing and expedition!

Our HoWLs for today were: 2.7

Our weekly target is: 2.9

Our target: TO be really proactive and work hard to produce beautiful work in a quicker time.

Our HoWL Heroes today were Kayden and Lydia S.

We were blown away with how well Kayden returned to school and his positive attitude towards his work!

I was really blown away by Lydia’s writing today and the paragraphs she produced.Well done!

Crew Gerrard (1/3/21)

A new start to the week and month! It’s been a great day in Crew Gerrard where we have discussed our new logo design, which the Crew are keen to design tomorrow morning. I have noticed that we’ve shown a great attitude today and I can’t wait to see that continue tomorrow. Our HoWL heroes for today:

Work Hard: Belle for showing a great attitude to her learning 😁

Get Smart: Ruby for using her reading skills brilliantly 😃

Be Kind: Emily for really cheering me up 😄

Our HoWL average was 3.2, which is a great start to the week! Please keep it up tomorrow, Crew Gerrard 😆

Crew Shields – 1/3/21

What a great day. It has been lovely being back in our own classroom today and establishing some of our usual routines. I know I benefit from these as much as the children so we are looking forward to getting back to some normality.  The children did a fantastic job of consolidating some of their multiplication work from last half term and demonstrated how they have retained some of these skills.

Crew Shields Average : 2.9

Targets for this week : 3.2

How can we improve?

To further improve, children need to ensure they take care with their presentation so they are producing beautiful learning.

Crew Shields Work Hard Howl Hero – Kaleb
Kaleb settled well with our move back into class. He tried hard to listen carefully to instructions so he was able to complete his learning. Well done Kaleb.

Crew Wilson Daily Blog : 1.3.2021

Highlight of the day:

We have had another fantastic PE lesson with Coach Dylan where we pretended we were the characters in Toy Story and had to move around the hall in different ways. When Emperor Zurg came along we had to run and hide quietly, we worked great together as a team and we won! Well done Crew Wilson and thank you to Coach Dylan!

Howl Heroes:

Work Hard: Toby for his brilliant independent sentences for our non chronological report, well done!

Get Smart: April for consistently showing teachers she is ready and listening first time, every time!

Be Kind:  Bobby-J for helping keep the classroom and the cloakroom tidy, well done!

Howl Average:

2.7 – Not the best start to our week but hopefully we will have a better day for listening and paying attention to instructions tomorrow, as some of the crew have some personal targets to work on!

Crew Marsh: 1/3/2021

WOW, I cannot believe it is March!

✨Star moment✨

Star moment today was seeing the children take charge of their own reading learning in our reading lesson today, the children loved choosing their own questions to answer in their book. It was great to see how confident they were when answering them also. Well done Crew Marsh!!😁😁

Average is: 3.0!

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.0

How can we develop this tomorrow?

I just want to praise Crew Marsh on their improvement of working as a crew/team, this has massively improved over the last few days. I feel very proud!💕

Crew Marsh’s target tomorrow is to make sure they are concentrating on their learning and not as much talking.

Howl hero:

Work hard hero today is TommyE!

Tommy has worked hard in all of his subjects today and has really blown me away with how much knowledge he has used to be able to work hard in his lessons. Well done! 🙌

Crew Welburn’s Daily Blog 1.3.2021

Get smart: Frankie👏

Be kind: Harrylee 👏

HOWL Score: 3.3 Well done Crew Welburn! 🌟🌟

Crew Kent Blog 1.3.21

Today, we could’ve given everyone HOWL hero… but the lucky 3 were:

Work hard: Sophia – for great effort in improving her writing.

Get smart: Chloe –  for working independently on her math’s.

Be kind: Grace – for assisting the teachers.

🤩 We are super proud to say that our HOWL average today is 3.0! We’ve worked super hard to achieve this and we’re really now thinking about what each HOWL really means.

Daily Blog Crew Godley 25.02.2021

What a whirlwind of a week it has been!

Today’s highlight:

Today in writing we were developing our beautiful work, we thought carefully about how we could make our work beautiful when writing. Shania exclaimed that she wanted to create beautiful work so ‘I can get a good job when I am bigger’. I love that our children are taking pride in everything they do.

I’m sure of you ask the children they will be able to tell you what makes their writing beautiful – some of us are even using capital letters! We tried really hard  to ensure we used finger spaces, our letters were all the same size, we wrote the sounds we could hear and added a full stop to out sentences. I was blown away by some of the writing produced.

Today’s HoWL hero was……

Getting Smart – Kyla. Kyla worked so hard when practising her letter formation. She started in the right place and took her time to ensure she wrote her letters the right way round. Well done Kyla!
