Crew Shields – 17/3/21

Crew have had an enjoyable afternoon while continuing their skills in hockey. We have been refining our passing, dribbling and shooting skills to ensure we were successful when they played a match. We have had a big focus on being kind to each other and this is especially important during PE lessons. Coach Shelly was very impressed with how well they conducted themselves.

Crew Shields Average : 3.0

Targets for this week : 3.2

How can we improve?

To further improve, Crew Shields need to work on our pace especially in writing.

Crew Shields Work Hard Howl Hero – Jack
Jack has done a great job in PE today. He doesn’t always find it easy but was chosen as the sports person due to his resilience and sportsmanship with the rest of the crew.

Crew Gerrard (17/3/21)

We have had another whirlwind day in Crew Gerrard. A highlight of today was our determination to make sure that we improved our writing. We tried our best to make our handwriting look like something that we are proud of. Our HoWL heroes for today are:

Work Hard: Hassan, you really gave it your all to produce a factual non-chronological report and produce his best handwriting 😁

Get Smart: Zane for thinking about your handwriting and making it clearer 😃

Be Kind: Brayden for helping to cheer me up after a tough couple of days 😄

Our HoWL average today was 3.1. I wonder if tomorrow we can listen carefully and show better listening skills? 😆

Crew Longley – 16.03.2021

Today, we have been discussing our presentation and handwriting in our Get Smart crew! Over the next few weeks, we will be really focusing on how we can craft beautiful work.

We have also been working on dividing a 2digit number by a 1 digit number. We have also started to set our EGGperiment up, to test the impact of sugary drinks on teeth.

Today’s HoWL avergae was: 2.9

Our HoWL target is: 2.7

Today’s HoWL hero was Kaitlynn. She has really tried hard to improve across all subjects. She does this quietly but with real determination.

Well Done!

Crew Elmer Daily Blog 16.03.21

Tiring Tuesday! After today I don’t think we can quite believe that it is only Tuesday in Crew Elmer! We have absolutely worked our socks off today and gone home feeling very tired! 💤 I hope you are all getting an early night so that you feel well rested and fresh to start again tomorrow morning!

Star moment of the day: ⭐

Today ‘s star moment has got to be our maths lesson today! I was blown away with how well children quickly grasped tenths. They were able to order them, add them, find them, shade them in and much more. The majority of the crew also whizzed through the ‘diagnostic 5’ questions and even completed all of the reasoning and problem solving questions! WOW! WOW! WOW! Definitely a highlight of today! Well done Crew for blowing my socks off as Harley would say! 🤣

Todays HoWL average is: 3.3

Another great score Crew Elmer! 🙌👏👍

This week’s HoWL target is: 3.4

How can we develop this tomorrow?

We need to work as a crew to ensure that we are all securing those 3’s as a minimum tomorrow! Lets stick together and get us all there! I know we can do it!

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Today’s HoWL Hero was Laila. This girl received the most praises from her crew members today for being super kind at crew playtimes as well as for helping her crew members with their work during lesson times. Her crew members also noticed how hard she had been working throughout every lesson. Miss Hart and I also praised her for just ‘getting on’. Laila was also asked to complete some extra tasks today and again she just ‘got on’ with them and never moaned or complained. She is a very happy and super lovely girl who very much deserves to be HoWL hero today! Well done Laila! 🙌🤩👏👍

Another lovely day working hard!

We are focusing on our names and letter formation this week! The children have been working so hard to recognise and write their names and it is all paying off! Not only do lots of us now recognise our names but some children have also moved on to writing their names without their name card! We are well on our way to creating beautiful work!

We have also been getting smart in phonics! You won’t believe how amazing some of our children are at knowing their first sounds! Keep your eyes peeled for This Week in the Phase/Trust to see our hard work!

Today’s HOWL heroes (we couldn’t choose one) are George and Sophia! My socks were knocked off by their phonics today! Amazing work 👏🏻

What a brilliant Tuesday we have had!

We have had great fun in our expedition session this afternoon, creating outer walls and “bumpy” grounds for our castle model to sit upon. We used the printing technique to create brick prints and paper mache to create our castle grounds. We worked as a crew to ensure our model was securely fastened to the wood base and wouldn’t move or become damaged in transit when it gets delivered to Lincoln Castle itself!

The children loved this messy activity and even the grownups had a go 🙂

Enjoying the mess!

Our Howl point average today was 3.1 Well done for the improvement Crew Ferguson! x

Crew Shields – 16/3/21

Crew Shields have enjoyed preparing and setting up a scientific experiement. Over the next few weeks, children will be exploring the effect that sugar has on our teeth. An egg shell is the closest material to the enamel on our teeth so we have immersed boiled eggs in a range of drinks. We will observe the changes in the next few weeks.

Crew Shields Average : 3.1

Targets for this week : 3.2

How can we improve?

To further improve, Crew Shields need to work on our pace especially in writing.

Crew Shields Work Hard Howl Hero – Esme
Today was Esme’s first day in crew Shields. She has settled quickly and had a positive attitude to this move. We are so glad to have Esme in our Crew.

Crew Wilson Daily Blog: 16.3.21

Highlight of the day: We have been writing up our letters to Zog and the Flying Doctors to come and help us fix Supertato. We worked so hard to form our letters beautifully and all the same size, taking our time to ensure our work was perfect! Well done everyone for trying so hard!

Work Hard: This goes to Mia for demonstrating her positive attitude towards her learning by cracking on and getting everything completed to a high standard, well done!

Get Smart: This goes to Toby for his beautiful display writing today, he really took his time to make sure it was his best work, great stuff!

Be Kind: This goes to Finn for taking care of his Crew and making sure everyone was working hard for his teachers, well done!

Howl Average:
