Crew Boswell – 25.11.20

Buona sera,

Another busy day for us today but there is a clear star moment.  Each week we practise our times tables and complete a quick check.  We have all improved so much that everyone should be proud.  That most of the crew managed to score a personal best for the term speaks volumes to their efforts and determination to be the best that they can be!

Today’s HoWL average is: 3.4

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.3

I wonder if…

I wonder if we can continue to listen carefully to instructions to help us to get smart.

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Our Get Smart HoWL Hero today is Ellie!

It’s been a great day for Ellie who continues to produce beautiful work and is constantly striving to surpass her minimum expectations.  What she should be most proud of today though is her times tables knowledge.  She has persevered and practised and is now reaping the rewards.  Keep going, Ellie!

Crew Godson Daily Post 25.11.20

Well today has been a very hectic but amazing day down in crew Godson. We started the day by finishing off our Gruffalo invitations, making scrambled Snake jelly, cutting and making our own character hats and re reading the Gruffalo story to ensure we were all ready for a Gruffalo celebration in the afternoon.

We did all this whilst also following our regular timetable of phonics, writing and maths! Don’t be surprised if all the children are in bead early tonight. They have worked incredibly hard! 🌟🙂

The children loved the afternoon and had so much fun.

Crew Nicholson 25.11.20

Today was Gruffalo party day and what a great time we had! Party prep began by making our Gruffalo crumble buns and scrambled snake jelly. We had made our gruffalo hats to wear, each child had chosen their favourite character they wanted on their hats and cut them out independently. They did a great job!

We had so much fun tasting roasted fox sausages, our crumble buns and scrambled snake jelly. We sang the Gruffalo song and then danced to some party songs. It was great to hear the children all say they had a good time and to see them enjoying themselves 💕 They have all thoroughly enjoyed listening to the story and have remembered it so well, I am so impressed. We just have a few more pieces of work to do based on The Gruffalo before we move onto our new text next week…. 📖

Crew Wilson Daily Blog: 25/11/2020

Another whirlwind of a day in Crew Wilson!

Highlight of the day:

We have been exploring Christianity as part of our expeditionary learning and today we learned all about how Christians follow Jesus and explored the story of his life. My highlight is from our class discussion about what we had learned, Daisy asked “So Jesus died on a zebra crossing?”. Not quite the right answer but it kept us entertained either way and we all appreciated the laugh, thank you Daisy!!

Howl Heroes:

Work Hard: This goes to Miami for her perseverance with her handwriting – today she has produced her most beautiful work to date, well done!

Get Smart: This goes to Jake today for showing off with his two enormous sentences in our morning writing task, great work!

Be Kind: This goes to April today for being kind to teachers by consistently showing green standard in the classroom, keep it up!

Howl Average:

3.05

Our average has taken a bit of a nosedive today but after some deep reflection this afternoon, the crew are confident we can get it back up to win a spin on the reward wheel, watch this space!
