My star moment today is watching the children start their walk to the north pole! It felt like a a lot and I bet we all have tired legs now but we each managed to walk a mile!! 🎅🤶

Average is: 3.2! 🙌

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.3!

How can we develop this tomorrow?

Again, I want the children to continue to make sure they are listening to every single step I am giving and following the instructions.

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Crew Wilson Daily Blog: 02/12/2020

We have had a fantastic (and tiring!) day in Crew Wilson today!

Highlight of the day:

Today we walked to Owston Church to have a look at stained glass windows as part of our expedition learning. We were such superstars and followed instructions brilliantly, we were definitely a credit to our school! After our long walk back to school, in the afternoon we created our own stained glass windows using laminating pouches and tissue paper – the results were amazing! We were very tired after all our hard work so relaxed with a hot chocolate and ‘The Grinch’. We will all definitely sleep well tonight!!

Howl Heroes:

Work Hard: Our Work Hard Howl goes to Tia for her brilliant effort today, Tia was actively involved spotting things on our walk and had a positive attitude to her learning all day, well done!

Get Smart: This Howl goes to Jake for his brilliant stained glass window, he carefully thought about what he wanted to design and executed it perfectly, great work Jake!

Be Kind: This Howl goes to two of our crew today – April and Miami collaborated on a stained glass window after one of them got a bit stuck. They worked together so well and their final product was beautiful, well done girls!

Howl Average:

3.5 We have maintained our score again today, well done Crew Wilson! One day left till the end of our week, lets see if we can get a spin on the wheel!

Crew Shields – 2/12/20

We have had a fun afternoon learning some new dancing styles. We have learned some African and Bollywood dancing. Even Miss Shields has learned something new. I’m excited to see these skills develop over the next couple of weeks.

Today’s HoWL average is: 3.0

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.0

How can we develop this tomorrow?

To improve further, Crew Shields need to ensure they are listening to instructions to ensure they know what they are doing.

Our Working hard hero today is Ava!

Ava has been working really hard in all lessons to ensure she is listening carefully. This really showed while completing some of her assessments this week.

Crew Gerrard (02/12/20)

Being kind: Ruby 🦸‍♂️

Our HoWL average was 3.1!

One more test tomorrow, guys! 😆

Daily Blog Crew Godley 02.12.20

What a wonderful Wednesday we’ve had! There’s no better way to start our blog with the fabulous talents of Skyla and Noah opening our advent calendar ❤

We have certainly worked hard in order to get smart today! The children have blown Miss Tabone and I away today with their phonics skills and Fred talk 🐸. We then applied this in our writing, we produced some brilliant writing. The children showed fantastic independence and resilience when some words were a bit tricky ⭐ SJ then led his own phonics session, the children helped each other to ‘get smart’.

We then continued to work on our final expedition piece. I was absolutely thrilled with the children and how much confidence they displayed! Summer wanted to take on the role of the narrator and read the entire story of ‘The Gruffalo’ 🌲🌲 SJ then went off to write his own script, film maker in the making!

Our HoWL average today was 2.8, so close to our target of 3.

HoWL Heroes today were:

Getting Smart – Freddie for some excellent work in phonics.

– Skyla has applied her phonics skills in her reading today and she                                         confidently read CVC words.

Working Hard – Summer for reading a fantastic story with such tricky words.

Being Kind – Michael did a great job today making sure he was kind and considerate to our classroom environment.

Today in crew we have a worked hard in our assessments. We have looked closely at each question and tried our best to answer each question to the best of our knowledge independently.

Our HOWL heroes today are:

McKenzie for Working Hard and continuing to have a positive attitude towards his learning.

Chloe for Getting Smart and working on feedback given from her assessments.

Skyler for Being Kind to others in the crew and ensuring her peers are all feeling ok.

Our HOWLs overall score today was 3.3! Well done Crew 🙂
