Today we discovered the country of Africa in our experience lesson.
We started with ‘Waka, Waka’ which the children already know and love.

We then tried lots of different and unusual fruits.

In Crew Godley, we were challenged to become human springs! We had to work with a partner and lean against their outstretched arms. We then had to push back and forth several times in a comfortable, rhythmic manner. Once we had mastered it with our partner, we then changed partners and tried to see if we could get into the same rhythm.
We found it quite tricky to begin with, but we showed great resilience and tried really hard to work with different people in our crew to get it right!

Today Y2 have continued to explore the Jewish faith and places of worship. We discovered that a synagogue is the Jewish place of worship, where Jews go to pray and speak to God. We compared this to a Christian church and found some differences and similarities. We found that the Torah scrolls contain the words of the Hebrew Bible and services are led by a rabbi or a worshipper.

This afternoon, Crew Shields set off with their litter pickers to start cleaning up our environment. We collected lots of rubbish which will be put to use in our next expedition task. What this space…

To hook us into our new expedition we experienced a very British afternoon.
We started with some ballroom dancing.

We then ate and drank a classical British treat of scones laced with butter and jam and a nice warm cup of tea.

Hopefully the postman will enjoy his visit to the UK.I wonder where he will go next?
Crew MW absolutely love going to the library, even more so when we decide to get comfy on the cushions and read a festive story with the lights off!

We followed a festive mindful meditation tutorial.

We enjoy taking time to regulate by following mindful meditation videos. It makes us feel nice and calm and ready to learn first thing on a Monday morning. 😌
In Year 2, we have finished our Picasso artwork, we have loved choosing different shapes and creating our snowmen in cubism form. We hope you love them as much as we do!

Today we have made festive bookmarks to use over the Christmas Holidays in our favourite books 📚
