KS1 Celebration of Learning

KS1 performed beautifully to their grown ups this afternoon, celebrating their expedition and explaining how we were heroes in our own community. The children articulated their learning journey with such confidence and pride. To bring our expedition to a close we shared with our grown ups that we raised an incredible £306 to purchase gifts to share with Hallam FM Christmas Mission, these have been wrapped by the children and will be delivered over the coming weeks. We are so proud of our children and would like to thank all of our parents for their support this term.

KS1 Santa Dash!

We are so proud of our children in KS1, today, we completed our Santa Dash to raise money for Hallam FM, Cash for Kids. The children were so excited to be ‘heroes’ in their community and help those children who are not as fortunate this Christmas. The children raised an incredible £306 pound in total, including the bake sale earlier in the term. We’d like to thank all of our parents and families for your support, we enjoyed having you with us today. The children were thrilled to have raised so much money. We can’t wait to buy and wrap the gifts to donate 💕 Here’s a couple of sneaky peaks 🎅

What does it mean to be British?

In citizenship crew we have been exploring our nation, Great Britain. We discovered our nation is diverse. This means there are lots of different people. Some will be the same as us and others will be different. It also means there are different places to visit and different things to do and experience. We concluded that diversity helps us learn and grow as people. It is something to be celebrated!

We then drew things that make us proud to be British, what makes our nation special. We drew pictures of Buckingham Palace, the beaches we visit, our lovely homes and our favourite British foods!

Crew Challenge

This morning Crew Godley had a difficult crew challenge, especially as we weren’t allowed to communicate other than using facial gestures! Our challenge was to group ourselves according to our colour, the tricky part was that we did not know own colour. Kaison leadership skills were second to none, he was fantastic at leading his crew to success!

Handwriting superstar 🌟

Today in crew, we continued to develop our handwriting and showed we were working hard to get smart by – sitting our letters on the line, forming them from the correct starting point and ensuring our letters are of a consistent size. We then voted as a crew who had made the most progress to win the magic handwriting pen 🖊️

Leo won today, even though he voted for someone else ♥️ which also shows just how kind he is.
