It was lovely to see the children dressed as their favourite characters. The year 5 children supported our younger this children by listening to them read. It was especially nice seeing siblings match up and read together.
Persuasive letters – W/C 1/3/22
This week we have started our next unit of writing. The children spent time unpicking the letter and determining which features were included.
Shove Tuesday – Crew Shields
Crew Shields – 24/2/22
Crew Shields have really enjoyed being able to design animals that would be able to survive in the rainforest. They explored merging some animals together and ensured they had the required adaptions to survive.
Crew Shields – 22/2/22
Crew Shields started the morning with a crew building activity. It was lovely to see children who wouldn’t normally take a lead role direct their peers and suggest ideas.
Crew Challenge – Leaning tower of Feetza – Who can make the tallest, free standing tower with shoes.
Crew Shields W/C 7/2/22
Our busy mathematician’s working hard to get smart. Well done!
Crew Shields – Maths Mania
It’s been a numbers kind of day in Crew Shields.
The children have took part in the TTRS Battle of the Bands with other schools. It is lovely seeing their confidence grow with their timetables.
Children had the opportunity to play maths board games with their peers. Not only could they consolidate their maths, they could build their crew relationships and communication. We even had some children support each other through the game rather than being competitive. Great Crew!
Have a lovely weekend Crew Shields 😀
Crew Shields – 1/2/22
Despite the long weekend, we have got straight back to our expedition learning.
Today, we’ve explored the parts of flowers and the life cycle of a flower.
Crew Shields – 1/2/22
Great team building activity to start our morning after the long weekend.
This was a great opportunity for children to develop their speaking and listening skills but also consolidate their maths knowledge.
Each child had a number on their head and they had to ask their peers questions about their number.
E.g – Is my number a 1, 2, 3 or 4 digit number? Is it a multiple? Is it odd? Etc.
