In expedition today, we learnt about the importance of hygiene when preparing food and the risks that we need to be aware of in the kitchen. As well as learning about where to store food in a fridge, we also looked at different types of bacteria and how they can spread and harm us. Our main focus though was looking at the cleanliness of everyday surfaces through an investigation. We rubbed some bread on a range of surfaces (as well as setting up a control, thanks Bobby) and sealed them in a bag to observe changes over time.
