Today we looked at different patters where we tried to reflect them across a line of symmetry. We then used a mirror line to help us to draw missing sides of shapes. We also thought about what shapes we had created. We used a mirror to help support our learning.

Today we looked at clauses, we thought about what makes a main clause and what makes a subordinate clause. We then moved to different sides of the classroom to show if parts of sentences were main clauses or subordinates clauses. We then moved onto looking at conjunctions, both coordinating and subordinating. We thought about how different conjunctions change the meaning of sentences then applied our knowledge to different sats style questions. Some great progress this week in our grammar sessions 🙂 Great work MI 🙂

So lovely to receive this feedback 🙂 Well done Crew MI and Crew Boswell

To hook is into our new writing we looked into our new book – The Tunnel.
We pieced together the book front cover, predicted what might happen, crawled through a tunnel and acted out how the character might be feeling.

Today in Crew Marsh we were lucky enough to have an artist come into school and teach us the skills to draw a self portrait of our face for our final product. We cannot wait to see it!

During XP outdoors we created our own vases using natural materials 🌹🌸🌺🌷we loved sharing our final products 🥰

Today we had a a very special visit from a local artist, Ms Rocket. We explored how to create a self portrait using our sketching skills. We cant wait to see our final product surprise 🤫

Today in our grammar session we unpicked the different word classes then applied our knowledge to a variety of questions. Really fab work MI 🙂

Today we continued to work on the pace of our reading with a 10 minute do now activity to start the lesson. This really pushed us to read the text quickly along with using our skimming and scanning skills to find information quickly. We then moved onto a sats paper where we practised our test technique. We worked on some questions independently then used a demonstration comprehension session for some of the more challenging questions. Tomorrow we will unpick some of the 3 mark questions further using APE to support our answers.
