Crew Marsh: 7/1/21

My star moment today was our arithmetic lesson, I am blown away with how much arithmetic learning Crew Marsh has remembered. So many pink ticks today!!! I am a very happy bunny because of it. 😁😁

Average is: 3.1

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.0!

How can we develop this tomorrow?

Crew Marsh need to continue to be more mindful in putting their hand up tomorrow rather than getting out of their seat.

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Our Be kind hero today is Harper!👍👌

Harper, well done today! You have shown me all day how hard you have tried and made sure all your learning is neat. You have also made a conscious effort not to get out of your seat! Well done!

Crew Gerrard (07/01/21)

Hi everyone,

I have been blown away by Crew Gerrard once again today. You are all super stars! You are supporting and being resilient (including online learners) with your work and have helped Mrs Gilliland and myself massively. I have even been able to see the graffiti that you have created and it looks amazing. It’s been difficult to choose our HoWL heroes today, but they are:

Work Hard: Brayden🦸‍♂️

Get Smart: Emily 🦸‍♂️

Be Kind: Sapphire 🦸‍♂️

Our HoWL average for today was 3.2!

I am really proud to be your Crew Leader, so keep it up!

🤩 We are super proud to say that our HOWL average today is 2.7! We’ve worked super hard to achieve this and we’re really now thinking about what each HOWL really means.

Crew Flaherty 6.1.21

Welcome back!

What an unusual start to the year but it was lovely to see everyone is our crew today whether they were in person or virtually. It was lovely to hear all about your Christmas holidays and your wonderful presents. Everyone in our has been patient with one another while adjust to our new way of teaching for this half term. Thank you to everyone in my Crew today, you have been very kind to me whilst we sorted out some technical issues. You have blown me away with your commitment to learning and staying focused during all of your lessons. Well done Crew Flaherty.

The highlight for me today was listening to the children talk to their friends either in person or on Google classroom during their lunchtime. Their little conversations made the world seem ‘normal’ listening to you talk about your friends, family and Christmas of course.

I cannot wait to see you all again tomorrow 🙂

Miss Flaherty

Crew Marsh: 6/1/20

I have loved having the children back in crew today after our Christmas break, we all spoke about our Christmas presents which now feels like a lifetime ago! 💕🎅

My star moment today was starting our new learning around the Romans. We learnt about the story of Romulus and Remus. The children created some great story boards to show the story! 😊

Average is: 3.1

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.0!

How can we develop this tomorrow?

Crew Marsh need to be more mindful in putting their hand up tomorrow rather than getting out of their seat.

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Harlie, you have stood out all day! You have come in and got on with all of your learning, always listening and making sure you are striving for green standard. Well done Harlie, it is well deserved! 😁

Crew Wilson Daily Blog: 6/1/2021

Wow what a whirlwind of a first day back we have had! Not quite the day we had planned for our return but it has gone as smoothly as it possibly could have all things considered!

The Crew both in school and on-line have been so patient and resilient today when technology failed us, but we have managed to get through all of our lessons and everyone has worked really hard, super proud of you all Crew Wilson!

Also, thank you to the parents that have supported online learning today, we have faced our challenges and muddled through it together, hopefully with the tweaks made today tomorrows sessions will run with ease!

Highlight of the day:

Getting to explore our new expedition topic – What mysteries do the castles keep?

Not only are we learning about castles but we’ve also got one in the classroom!! We had some great fun preparing a banquet for the King and keeping the castle walls safe from our enemies attacks!

Howl Heroes:

Work Hard: Jake for his fantastic sentence in our writing lesson. His sentences was so long and detailed and created independently, well done Jake!

Get Smart: Tommy T for his enthusiasm in expedition when learning about castles. Tommy noticed some very interesting things when exploring this new topic and couldn’t wait to share them with the Crew, great work!

Be Kind: April for being such a great role model in the classroom, being the brilliant mother hen that she is and keeping the Crew in check all day, well done!

Howl Average:

3.7  – A brilliant start to the week Crew Wilson! Well done!!

Crew Ferguson (Thiede) 6.1.21

Welcome back! 👋🏻

What a truly wonderful start to a new term! 😄 I am so proud of the crew today they really have been superstars! The commitment to learning shown by the children today has blown me away. They have considered each other and how they can support their crew in this new style of learning, been patient with staff while we solve problems, adapted to the new way of teaching and above all they have followed work hard, get smart and be kind without a blip! The way they have taken the last few days in their stride has been amazing!

I could talk all day about how amazing they have been and how proud we are but we’ll leave it there for now (incase I start to blub)!

Also a big shout to all the adults at home for their time and support, thank you!

HOWLs

Todays HOWL score was 2.5

This doesn’t reflect the day our online and in school learners had (they achieved a 3.7 – our highest ever crew score) but unfortunately lots of our crew haven’t engaged in learning today this means that our score has gone down a lot, make sure you are engaging in learning tomorrow so we can get that score up!

HOWL heroes

🌟 Work hard – Theo for an amazing attitude to learning ✍🏻

🌟 Get smart – Rome for showing he was listening carefully by asking insightful questions 💬

🌟 Be kind – Taylor for been a great member of the online learning team 💻

Wonderful Wednesday! 😊⭐

Although today has been a different day under the circumstances it has still been a wonderful day! 😊 I have been blown away with the children today! 🤩 Most children were able to access remote learning if they weren’t in school today which was great!

Star moment of the day:

This has to be our Expedition lesson this afternoon and how kind the children were to each other. The children created some great storyboards to show the story of Romulus and Remus. Once they had completed them the children then offered each other praises, wonders and notices. The praises were so lovely and just what we all needed to hear today 💕

Todays HoWL average is: 2.7

Despite lots of children at home accessing their learning and some children not being able to join us this is a great score! Well done Crew! 🤩⭐🙌👏👍

This week’s HoWL target is: 3.3

How can we develop this tomorrow?

Hopefully we can get more children online tomorrow so that they can contribute some positive HoWL scores! 🤞

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Today’s HoWL Hero was Bobby-Joe! Bobby-Joe has settled really well into our crew today and shown just how resilient he can be. There have been lots of changes today (times of the day, timetable, staff etc.) and Bobby-Joe has just got on with it. He created an excellent storyboard in Expedition, completed his arithmetic questions well and contributed some great answers during reading. Well done Bobby-Joe! 👍⭐👏🙌📝✏
