Another brilliant (but wet!) day in Crew Wilson today!

Highlight of the day:

It’s been another fantastic day for writers! I am so proud of the independence of the Crew in our writing lessons, children are getting better at sharing ideas and building their own sentences, keep up the great work! Special shout out to our online learners who smashed their sentences at home, you should be so proud of what you’re achieving at home!

Howl Heroes:

Work Hard: Bobby-J for his brilliant attitude to learning today!

Get Smart: Eva for correcting her work independently, well done!

Be Kind: Mia for looking after a new member of our crew at dinner time, great work!

Howl Average:

3.0 – A slight dip in our score today but we know what to do to get those fabulous 4’s!

Crew Gerrard

Afternoon everyone,

We have had another lovely day in Crew Gerrard today. The children have been so welcoming while I have been helping out in Crew and have shown me just how hard they work in Crew Gerrard.

Today we have had some really great discussions in Writing about our subject ‘Healthy Eating’. The children came up with reasons why we should eat healthy and thought about how we can persuade people to become healthier, including adverts on social media, newspapers and leaflets.

Todays HOWL heroes were…

Work hard – Emily-Jo and Jolie – great discussion in writing, well done!

Get smart – Ellie-May

Be kind – Lucas

Our HOWL average for the day was 3.1

Wacky Wednesday! 😵

There has certainly been a lot going on in Crew Elmer today! Technology has definitely not been on our side but somehow we have managed to get through the day!

Star moment of the day:

This has got to be ‘The Write Stuff’ lesson this morning. I was so impressed with how much of the story the children could remember from yesterday! I was also blown away with the storyboards that they produced to show what had happened in the part of the story that they had read. Some crew members drew some excellent pictures and wrote some very detailed captions. The children working from home also created some fantastic work! Have a look below to see Esme’s amazing storyboard!

Todays HoWL average is: 3.4

WOW! 🤩 I think this is one of the best HoWL scores that we have ever had! I am not surprised as crew members have been working really hard today and lots of them achieved ‘Green Standard’ in all lessons! 🙌🤩⭐👍👏

This week’s HoWL target is: 3.1

How can we develop this next week?

All crew members need to do as FAB tomorrow as they have done today!

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Today’s HoWL Hero was Esme! Esme was praised for her excellent storyboard that she created in ‘The Write Stuff’ this morning! See above! Amazing work Esme! Well done!  💻👍👏⭐🤩🙌😁

Crew Marsh: 13/01/21

My star moment today was seeing the children in PE. It was great to see everyone joining in as a crew and working together as a team!! 😁🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Average is: 3.2!👌

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.2

How can we develop this tomorrow?

Crew Marsh need to continue to be more mindful in putting their hand up tomorrow rather than getting out of their seat, this is something as a Crew that we need to be mindful of.

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Our Be Kind hero today is Harlie! 😁👌

Harlie has been a really kind crew member and has made me really smile!! 😁🙌👏

HOWL Heroes:

Work hard: Darcie

Get smart: Nathan

Be kind: Lylah

HOWL Score: 2.7 We need to work on our working hard on the carpet tomorrow.

Welcome back after a long weekend!

Today has been another very busy day in Crew Elmer and we have achieved lots as always!🙌

Star moment of the day:

This has got to be our Reading lesson! All children did amazing at listening to the text being read and listened really attentively which allowed them to complete the questions smoothly. I was really impressed with the level of answers from both those crew members in school and those at home. Children were able to refer back to the text and find quotes to support their answers. I was also impressed that 4/7 children doing remote learning managed to submit their work before the deadline! 🙌😊⭐🤩👏👍📝✏💻

Todays HoWL average is: 2.9

A great start to the week Crew Elmer! Well done! 🙌🤩⭐👏👍 I wonder if we can improve this tomorrow? 🧐

This week’s HoWL target is: 3.0

How can we develop this tomorrow?

All crew members need to ensure that they are concentrating on their learning at all times; not fiddling with their HoWL cards, pencils, pencil cases etc. when they should be listening during the input part of the lesson.

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Today it was a really difficult decision regarding our HoWL Hero… as a crew we couldn’t decide between two crew members… Lucas and Leo. Lucas was praised lots for working hard, being kind during break times and for being resilient during our PE lesson after a few tumbles. Leo was praised for getting on so well as today was his first day back in the classroom since breaking up for Christmas, as well as for being kind during break times and helping Hannah-May in PE when she had a little knock. After a little vote, our HoWL Hero was chosen…. and it was… Leo! Great work Leo! 😁👏👍⭐🤩🙌 I wonder if you can keep this up for the rest of the week! Lucas, well done and an extra well done for clapping Leo and not getting upset or being too disheartened when you didn’t gain the reward. I am confident that your time will come! 👍😁

Reminders:

Just a reminder that there is NO PE tomorrow. This week PE is just happening once a week, which was today. If this changes there will be an update on here or Dojo🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💪👟

Crew Nicholson 12.1.21

Today we continued with our Space and Aliens topic and the children produced some beautiful drawings of their own Aliens. They amazed me talking about their drawing, describing  where their alien might live and what they look like. Some children then absolutely blew me away with writing their name on their work. This progress is fantastic, especially after being off for Christmas! Keep up the brilliant work!

We had some issues with google classroom this morning for those children at home, hopefully we will get to see everything online tomorrow for our crew session!
