Crew Wilson Daily Blog: 22/10/2020

We have had a thrilling Thursday in Crew Wilson today!

Highlight of the day:

We have finally fully constructed our box model village of Carcroft and it looked immense! The discussions around what, why and how we had built our models was great, the children have clearly taken their learning on board this term and could talk about their work fantastically, our school leaders were blown away by what we had created! We really enjoyed taking a walk down our model street and spotting all of the human and physical features that we had constructed, well done Crew!

Howl Heroes:

Work Hard: This Howl goes to Aleks today for his fantastic work in maths, he can explain his thinking clearly and made me so proud when he guided his crew to the right answers rather than just telling them, well done Aleks!

Get Smart: This Howl goes to Dalton for being a superstar throughout the day, he’s been my Green Standard role model today, demonstrating to the class exactly what we expect, well done Dalton!

Be Kind: This Howl goes to Tia today, as she always hangs back to ensure our classroom is spotless. Tia is a great helper and Crew Wilson would be lost without her, well done!

Howl Average:

We have ended the day on a respectable 3.4 Howl average, lots of great learning, listening and collaboration taking place today, well done Crew Wilson!

One more day till half term, we cant wait to celebrate our successes tomorrow and let our hair down for Halloween!!

Crew Longley – 22.10.2020

Today, we have been editing our Little Book of Feelings. We have seen our work published into a draft book!

How can we develop  We need to develop our kindness a little bit. A little tiredness is creeping in and we are becoming a little grumpy with each other

Howl Hero

Lydia B. We have been amazed by her independent writing and the quality of her handwriting and presentation. Well done!

RWI Reading

Yesterday we had most children read. We have read with the remaining few. This is great progress, but please could I ask everyone to continue encouraging their children to read.

Thank you!

Crew Shields – 22/10/20

Today in Cojo, the children worked really hard on their speaking and listening, working as a crew and observation skills. They had to recreate a scene by working together. The children were successful which shows a great development in their crew skills.

Today’s HoWL average is: 2.9

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.0

How can we develop this tomorrow?

To improve further, Crew Shields need to ensure they are staying in their seats and not wandering the classroom.

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Our Get Smart hero today is Alicia!

Alicia has been doing an amazing in RWI and has made astounding progress since September. She should be very proud of what she has achieved. Keep going, We have every confidence in you!

Crew Marsh: 22/10/20

Crew Marsh has made an effort today to make sure they are listening to instructions. Crew Marsh’s star moment of the day was their science lesson, they all wrote a detailed conclusion about why an ice cube melted quicker in hot water. Impressive Crew Marsh, well done! 👩‍🔬👨‍🔬⚗

Today’s HoWL average is: 3.6! 😁👍

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.2

How can we develop this tomorrow?

For Crew Marsh to play appropriately and be kind to each other at break and lunch time.

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Crew Elmer Daily Post 21.10.20

Happy Hump Day! 🙌

Star moment of the day: ⭐

Today I have been blown away with both the quantity and quality of the work produced in ‘The Write Stuff’ today. This was our last sentence day for this half term and the children really impressed me, I really do think they saves the best until last! 😁 Great writing Crew Elmer! More of this next half term EVERY sentence day please! 🤞📝✏

Today’s HoWL average is: 3.1

YAY! 👏 We are still doing really well with our HoWLs this week! At the start of the week, I had my doubts and was worried that we would be on 2’s but I have been really taken a back that children have been really kind to each other and have really shown me that they can work hard and get smart quicker! Keep this up Crew Elmer! 🙌

This week’s HoWL target is: 3.0

How can we develop this tomorrow?

Tomorrow Crew Elmer need to make sure that EVERY member of our crew is achieving 3’s across the board! We mainly need to focus on lunch times in the hall and some of the girls being kinder to each other please. 💕

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Again, Crew Elmer had lots of lovely comments about each other including our HoWLs but also yet again we couldn’t decide so to keep it fair we had a vote and the winner was… Rowen! Which was well and truly deserved! He has been working really hard in ‘The Write Stuff’ and ‘Reading’ today and Miss Hart and I were really amused with his attacking and defending skills in PE today, as well as his little dance moves! 😂 It was lovely to see his beaming smile for once in PE as this is often a subject that Rowen finds difficult as it is very ‘busy’ but today we all recognised how much he participated and enjoyed his little self! 😁 Happy Rowen = Happy Mrs Elmer, Happy Mrs Elmer = Happy Crew Elmer! Winning all around! 🙌
