Help us to stay safe! HANDS - FACE - SPACE

Crew Boswell – 06.11.20

A busy week for us has seen us try our hand at the online learning, experience a day of giving and try our hand at a range of dancing with a view to performing our own routine.  What has been impressive is how everyone has built on what they have done the day before to ensure that we’ve had a strong end to the week.  I hope you all manage to enjoy a restful weekend and keep safe.

Today’s HoWL average is: 3.2

Our Weekly HoWL average is: 3.0

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.0

I wonder if…

I wonder if we can build on our increasing confidence and have our best week yet next week.  I wonder if we can get a weekly HoWL average of 3.3?

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Our Work Hard hero today is Ellie!

It’s been a great day for Ellie today.  She often goes under the radar with her kindness, positivity and constant efforts in producing beautiful work but following our revelation yesterday, it was fantastic to see the crew recognising all that Ellie does so quietly.  You are constantly working hard, Ellie, keep it going and thank you for all the little things that you do for us!

Crew Nicholson Daily Blog 6.11.20

Fantastic Friday ✅ There was so much to squeeze in our half day today 🙊 We finished the week with one last bonfire night mark making activity 🎨 We rolled marbles in paint to make different patterns and lines. This was also a great activity to practice our hand and eye coordination as we used spoons to roll the marbles. The children thoroughly enjoyed it 🙌🏼

We also finished our write dance for this week with Mrs Mason and she was so impressed with the marks they all made with their chalk. They are really progressing within write dance sessions, following instructions and are remembering what is expected of them so this is fantastic!

I am extremely proud of them all this week for working so hard and producing beautiful work 🥰 I look forward to seeing how much progress we can make before Christmas!

HOWL Hero

Working Hard – Oliver

Oliver has had a great attitude to his learning today 🌟 He has learnt to recognise his own name and already began to practice writing it too! Well done Oliver, keep up the great work and let’s really try and stay on gold standard!

I would just like to thank parents for their support with the new early finish time on Fridays. As explained, we are very fortunate we can offer full time free education to our nursery children, so we are confident they aren’t missing any learning due to this! 🙌🏼

Don’t forget Monday is a training day, therefore school is closed to children. Also our bedtime story campfire is on Tuesday. If you haven’t already returned your slip please bring it on Tuesday!
Have a great weekend! 💕

Yay! 😄 It’s FriYAY! 🙌 After a very busy week lots of us were very happy this morning that today is Friday and we get two days rest! 💤

Star moment of the day: ⭐

This has got to be how hard the children worked during our arithmetic test this morning. The children all had their heads down and tried their best to answer each of the different questions. No children complained or got upset that they couldn’t answer the more challenging questions. Crew Elmer really showed resilience this morning. Great work Crew Elmer! 👍 Well done! 👏

My star moment today is the children showing their resilience and hard work in their arithmetic tests that we have been completed today. I was very impressed to see what knowledge the children had remembered and how they applied it to a range of different questions.

Crew Shields – 6/11/20

It has been lovely being back in school with the children and hearing about the things they had been doing during half term. The children have settled back into our routines very quickly and we’ve had a really good week. As mentioned before, the children are becoming more confident in all subject areas and becoming more engaged in their learning. I really enjoyed reading the children’s writing this week as I could see the skills we learned before half term, filtering in to their writing.

Today’s HoWL average is: 3.0

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.0

How can we develop this Next week?

Next week, Crew Shields need to ensure that they continue working on their listening skills so they understand the tasks they are being asked to do.

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Our Get Smart hero today is: Chloe

Chloe has been a superstar in writing and I love reading her writing each day. She is starting to use prior learning in her writing and I can tell her confidence has grown.

A snippet of her writing today:
A huge tank exploded his space and thundering noises (playing  with rage) blasted his afternoon. He looked so annoyed but nothing would stop him from playing his big game. His mum entered the war zone. She gently opened the blinds and a blast of light brightened the room.
