The children had a lovely surprise today seeing Santa 🎅 Although due to the current situation the experience was a little different, it was a lovely magical experience for them and their little faces lit up 🌟

Crew Gerrard (08/12/20)

Hi everyone,

We’ve had another fantastic day of effort and I am really pleased with the effort I am seeing, even though we are feeling really tired. Keep going guys! It was difficult to choose the HoWL heroes for today, and they are:

Working hard: Evie🦸‍♂️

Get smart: Tyler 🦸‍♂️

Being kind: Sapphire🦸‍♂️

Our HoWL average was 3.3!

Keep going guys! 😆

Crew Wilson Daily Blog: 08/12/2020

We have had a wonderful day in Crew Wilson today!

Highlight of the Day:

We had a very exciting visit from Santa today and it has been all we have talked about! We met him in our Forest School and we all must have been well behaved this year as we all got a present!

Howl Heroes:

Work Hard: Our Work Hard Howl goes to Bobby-J! He came in late this morning after a dentist appointment and got stuck in with his writing work straight away, and made his most beautiful work to date, well done!

Get Smart: Our Get Smart Howl goes to Mia today! Mia has listening carefully to instructions all day and has tried her best with her work.

Be Kind: Our Be Kind Howl goes to three fantastic girls today – Miami, Daisy and Stevie were collaborating out on the playground and being so kind to one another, well done girls!

Howl Average:

Our Howl Average is 3.5 today, slowly rising every day, that spin on the reward wheel is getting closer!

Crew Marsh: 8/12/20

My star moment today was watching the children show off their dancing skills in PE, they have shown such resilience and concentration and learnt two styles of dancing! Disco/cheer and Bollywood. AMAZING! Well done Crew Marsh! 💃🕺

Average is: 3.4

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.3!

How can we develop this tomorrow?

Tomorrow, again we need to make sure we are chatting less and concentrating more in all lessons, especially in the afternoon!

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Our Be Smart hero today is Aaron!😁

Aaron has really stood out today for listening and ensuring that he is concentrating on each task he is expected to complete. Well done Aaron! ✨😎

Crew Kent Daily Blog 8.12.20

Today we have had another fantastic learning day in Crew Kent.

The children have tried so hard to complete their drafting of their independent write. They have pulled on all their previous knowledge of the story ‘Holes’ to write an in depth paragraph. They concentrated so well. Little superstars! 🌟

In maths the children continued working on division, but today divided by 100!

All their hard work was rewarded this afternoon with a visit to Santa. The children walked through the forrest to discover him and were then rewarded with a little present.

Wednesday ✔

Highlight of the day:

Today we got a visit from someone really exciting! Santa came to see us! 🎅 He even brought us a present which was really kind and we were very thankful.

Work hard: Lylah 👏

Our HOWL average was 2.6 today. We need to try harder with our HOWLs tomorrow.

Crew Elmer Daily Blog 07.12.20

Manic Monday! Today has been a very busy Monday in Crew Elmer today! We have worked incredibly hard to help us to get smarter quicker! 📝✏📒

Star moment of the day:

Today’s star moment of the day has got to be The Write Stuff. The children were able to generate lots of great ideas for their ‘chotting’ and shared these well during ‘popcorn’. The children also enjoyed listening to Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer to help them to create some fantastic alliterative sentences such as: Meanwhile, Comet was crunching carrots’, ‘Dancer was dancing delightfully’ and ‘the reindeers were running riot’. I cannot wait to see Foundation Stages little faces when Year 4 read these special letters to them! 💕🤗

Todays HoWL average is: 3.2

Yay! This is a very impressive HoWL average! 😁 We haven’t seen it this high in a while so well done Crew Elmer! I believe that this is down to so many children achieving ‘Green standard’ in both English and Maths, as well as being super kind to each other! Excellent work Crew Elmer! 🙌

This week’s HoWL target is: 3.1

How can we develop this next week?

Crew Elmer need to continue to be as great as they have been today! Also please remember to use your manners at all times, there seems to be some children who keep forgetting! 🙊

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Today’s HoWL hero went to Jazmin for ‘working hard’ all day! Sometimes this young lady finds Maths a challenge and despite getting some extra support in today’s lesson Jazmin worked so hard until she fully understood cm and m and then completed ALL of the fluency questions independently! I was amazed by the progress that she made in today’s lesson! Well done Jazmin! 🙌😁👏👍

Christmas Cards:

Just a little reminder that Christmas cards need to be brought into school by Friday 11th December as we need to isolate them for 72 hours before we can distribute them out. 🎅✉📪

Crew Boswell – 07.12.20

Good evening,

Day 7.  Our toy of the past today is the hula-hoop.

Did you know that the longest continuous hula-hoop spinning is 74 hours and 54 minutes?

A busy start to the week for us today saw us walk another 16 miles towards our target to reach the North Pole as well as making our own Christingle this afternoon.  Not to mention all the reading, writing and maths in between!

Today’s HoWL average is: 2.9

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 2.9

I wonder if…

I wonder if we can continue to take pride in our work and remember our presentation tomorrow.

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Our Work Hard HoWL Hero today is Melisa!

What a great day for Melisa today.  As well as continuing to improve with her times tables, it was great to see her focus during our writing session and she has produced some good work using the writing rainbow to support her ideas!
