We have had a brilliant week in Key Stage One learning all about how religious stories influence celebrations, with our main focus being on Diwali as part of our new Expedition.
More of our expedition work can be found on our KS1 Expedition Website:👇
All four classes had a fantastic PE session with our Kixx coach Shelley, learning a special Diwali celebration dance. We had some fantastic dancers that were busting some crazy moves, our teachers were blown away by how well we did and how much rhythm some of us had!
Year Two have also been working on some Diwa lamps as part of their expedition learning after learning what their purpose is – I think Crew Two will agree that they came out great!
We have been using Children in Need activities this week in our Crew sessions to help us understand what a ‘child in need’ was and how we can help people who are in need through simple acts of kindness. Today we had a wonderful PJ day for Children in Need and have enjoyed getting our sweat on with Joe Wicks!
To say it is only the second week back we have done so much learning! We can’t wait to share it with everyone, please keep checking our expedition website and crew blogs to find out what your children are doing in school.
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
KS1 Team 😁
