We just love our Wednesday morning Scottys session!! We always work super hard as a team to achieve a common goal. Today, we had to work together to complete the assault course. This included carrying tyres, jumping through tyres and getting from one base to the other. We are definitely getting better at this every time we try! 💪🛞👏
Drawing twins ✍️🖍
Our crew challenge this week was called “drawing twins”. We had to work in pairs to try and recreate the image on the board. We had to listen very carefully to the instructions but we all had to make sure we was giving very clear and precise instructions.
We are Scientists 👩🔬
Today we were scientists in our expeditionary learning and looked at animals and their offspring. We talked about how mammals give birth to live babies and how most reptiles and bird lay eggs. We matched animals and the hound as well as animals which go through a metamorphic changes so they don’t look like their mothers when they are born, such as butterflies and frogs.
Mirror, Mirror!
Today in Crew we worked in pairs to mirror our partners. We had to pay close attention to all their body movements and some of us found it very tricky!
Scotties – Team building
This morning on Scotties, we’ve been outside working on our team building. We had engineers and medics who had additional responsibilities to ensure the survival of their team. Some great team work from the Crew.
Crew Challenge
Yesterday morning, we had a crew Challenge where we partnered up. One partner had to give the instructions while the other drew based on the instructions.
When we debriefed, the crew said they found things challenging because of not being able to hear, instructions not being clear or not knowing what they meant. Despite the final images, the crew really enjoyed this activity as you’ll be able to tell from their faces in the pictures.
Citizenship Crew ~ Is it fair?
Today in crew we explored fairnesses. We explored different scenarios and if we felt they were fair or not, we had some great discussions around how fair can look different to people. Being fair doesn’t always mean that everyone gets the same thing or the same amount of something. It means that everyone gets what they need – this sometimes means people get different things.
We concluded that if all people are treated fairly and treat others fairly too, it can help us all to live happy, healthy and safe lives – it can help people to feel good on the inside!
Beautiful Work
Leo has been working incredibly hard in Crew, his writing has absolutely blown us all away! He had presented his work beautifully ready for our display. We are so proud of you, Leo!
The Good Samaritan
Today in RE we explored what makes a Good Samaritan, we looked at the story from the Bible, The Good Samaritan to explore what Jesus was trying to teach Christians. We discovered that the Samaritan, regardless of his thoughts and beliefs about the Jew who needed his help showed kindness and empathy to support him. He helped the Jew travel to the inn keeper on his donkey, paid for his stay and gave him bandages and oil to treat his wounds.
