This is certainly the case in Year 5 and 6 at Carcroft. This morning during an Expeditionary Reading Lesson, the pupils were continuing to develop their knowledge and understanding of their Science Case Study as part of this term’s expedition whilst continuing to consolidate their reading skills at the same time.
I was particularly impressed by the way in which the children were working hard to get smart with their shoulder partners and they were also demonstrating real kindness towards one another too. They were really listening to one another and taking turns to share their opinions and viewpoints.
I also spotted pupils text marking to support them with their summary statement and children using their purple pens to self critique their work and make some changes.
Keep up the fabulous work UKS2- you are such fabulous role models for our younger pupils.
