The Carcroft Pledge Award
At Carcroft School, we are proud to offer The Carcroft Pledge Award — a unique programme that supports the development of well-rounded, responsible, and aspirational individuals.

What is the Carcroft Pledge?
The Carcroft Pledge Award recognises pupil achievements across five key areas:
- Contribution – making a difference in school and the community
- Experiences – trying new things and sharing talents
- Opportunities – engaging in learning and taking on responsibility
- Lifestyle – supporting both mental and physical wellbeing
- Preparation – learning about the world of work and future goals
Award Levels
Children can achieve the award at four progressive levels:

- Rainbow (EYFS)
- Bronze (Key Stage 1)
- Silver (Lower Key Stage 2)
- Gold (Upper Key Stage 2)
Each level typically takes 1–2 years to complete, but the timeline is flexible to support individual progress.
How Does It Work?
Children will work towards their Pledge during school time, particularly in Crew sessions, where they will reflect on and celebrate their achievements. Progress will be tracked by Crew Leaders throughout school.
Once a pupil completes a level, families will be invited to a special community celebration to mark their success.
Celebrating Success at Home
We encourage families to share their child’s achievements outside of school too! You can send in photos or videos of your child completing elements of their Pledge via:
- Your child’s teacher’s email address
- Class Dojo
These moments help us build a full picture of your child’s progress and allow us to celebrate their dedication and effort together.
If you’d like to know more about the Carcroft Pledge Award or how you can support your child’s journey, please speak to your child’s Crew Leader or contact the school office.
