The Children have really enjoyed learning the parts of a flower today in their expedition. Once learning the plant parts song, the children have created independent observational drawings. They have loved smelling and feeling the flowers and couldn’t wait to explore them more!
Today in KS1 we filmed and recorded our song and dance that will form part of our final product.
Geoff from XP came in with all his recording equipment and he is now going to start putting the video together for us. We are very excited to share it will you later in the term!
Today we were scientists again and discussed what humans and animals need to survive. The children knew they needed food and water to survive and we also discussed the importance of air.
They produced lots of beautiful work. Well done everyone!
Today in our experience lesson we pretended to be on a bus. We all bought our tickets from bus driver Nandi and found somewhere to sit. There were people listening to music, drinking their coffee and even reading a book. Unfortunately there were more people than seats so some people had to stand up! We rang the bell and got off at the train station!
I was absolutely blown away by some of the writing today.
We had so much fun creating our Christmas cards for our grown ups!
Thank you to all of the grown ups who came to celebrate EYFS’s expedition learning with them last week! The children loved sharing what they had learnt about their ‘Be Kind’ expedition, and it was lovely to see all of the excited faces when we unveiled our final product!

To celebrate Bonfire Night, Crew McGlone created firework pictures. We used cardboard tubes to print glitter paint onto black paper to look like fireworks exploding in the night sky. They looked really effective!
