Today crew Frost have been starting their learning journey on the colour monster. We have began to recreate the confused monster whilst using creative materials to express our thoughts on what it means to be confused. Crew Frost had outstanding fine motor control when painting him! Well done crew Frost!

This week in our crew’s cooking class we made our own pizza. The children got to choose from a range of toppings, or all of them, to add to their pizza. We used our cutting skills from previous weeks to chop the peppers, tomatoes and mushrooms. They smelt delicious!

This week the children have been creating story maps about the gingerbread man, from this they have created their own versions how the gingerbread man crossed the river “he could use a surf board” and “he could use a jet pack”. We turned these ideas into drawings and sentences remembering our capital letters, finger spaces, and full stops.

Some great work this week everyone 🙂

This week the children in Crew Robson have worked hard to create a piece of artwork based on the work of Peter Thorpe.
They have created several drafts and have given and received critique to improve their work each time.
Today we put the finished touches to our artwork by adding the Moon and a rocket zooming through space.
The children were so proud of the artwork they created and I am so proud of them too!

I have been so impressed recently with the work being produced in CrewRobson. Here are just a few example of work that have blown me away!

Well done to everyone this week, some fabulous work 🙂

Well done everyone 🙂

On Tuesday, we were able to explore science at Magna. This was extremely interactive and allowed children to experience lots of new things. We completed a workshop where we could investigate different types of rocks before creating a volcanic eruption. Then we built up the volcano using play dough which helped us understand the different layers. When we had finished, we took a sample just like a scientist so we could see how scientists study volcanoes and how they know how many times they’ve erupted. There was lots of walking so lots of tired legs when we returned to the coach. A great trip out to help us learn.
